So I was just thinking earlier, people who want to give advice but are low on the leaderboards (like below 70%) are criticized for not knowing the game, and while we obviously can’t all be top 200, what would you consider the “pro” player cut off line be for tPvP on the leaderboard? I’m just asking out of sheer curiosity, and for fun. Above 90%? Top 1000? Only top 50? What do you consider a good rank?

Given that half the people on the leaderboards haven’t played in months, the lack of separation between solo q and premades and the difference in volume of teams from NA to EU I’d say that nobody is really taking the leaderboards all that seriously at the moment.
I would say if you are with premade than the rank with numbers (not % ) is where the good ones are or at least better than 800. For solo queue i would say 90%/94% up. Also you must take in consideration what Jonwar said :p.
Personaly i always solo que and i cant ever get past 97% (after the leaderboards change, before i could easily get to 500 rank) since at that or after or even before it, you get prety much well organised premades who roflstomp any soloqueuer. Even if you are lucky and win against 1 premade team thats not so good you wont rank up cuz for that you need at least 2 or 3 wins.
Leaderboards are so broken that you can lose positions after going 3-1 because you lost a 4vs5 game vs lower ranked players, and you gained next to nothing by defeating the following 3 teams.
So you should really stop caring about this fail mixed team/solo queue, play and play some more to get better, and wait for a proper soloQ matchmaking+ladder to climb that one.
