Hey everyone, in the midst of all the chaos going on with the 25th update, I just wanted to have some fun. I got this idea when reading the (supposed) thief leaked notes. I got to thinking, I don’t even really know many diehard thief fans who don’t play other stuff more.

So my question is, and entirely opinion and fun based, what do you think the top 3 classes are in sPvP for “Die hard” fans for a specific class. (Such as I consider myself a diehard necro).

1. Mesmers
2. Necromancer
3. Probably Ranger.

Flip side, I don’t really know many “diehard” Guardian sPvP fans.

3,502 games played…..100% of them as warrior. I refuse to play anything else.

I love my Guardian. Over 1.8k hours on Guard alone. Even though I do enjoy playing other professions. Guard will always be my favorite, probably because it was my first.

Warriors! Who else would continue to play a class that has been at the bottom of the barrel for so long?

1.Mesmers (the amount of talk and effort they put into defending themselves from nerfs is beyond all)

2.Necros (my main- poeple fall in love with it, but since it just doesnt work they spend a lot of thinking for improvements)

3. Warriors (theyre willing to do anything… as long as its with brute force )

I would have to argue that Necro and Warrior players (I’m a war player) are by deffinition the most die-hard “fans” because we haven’t given in and switched to a Mesmer/Engi/Mesmer/Thief/Ranger/Mesmer/Thief. It isn’t hard to run a good class but not giving up on a Balanced/Situational/Under Powered class means chances are you really love the class.

That being said Mesmers and Sword Thieves have put forth a lot of effort to justify their current strength. Still, I’d say it takes a lot more love to stick with something that I would claim to be balanced than to defend something that is too strong. I still hold that Warriors only need a few minor buffs in terms of condition and damage mitigation to be in a strong place and that the current meta is just a few broken builds that need to be addressed.

I don’t see how someone can be a “die-hard” fan of a class if it doesn’t die particularly hard.

That means Warriors are the most diehard fans because they haven’t quit yet.

When I got to the “destroyed” part I was going to be all “oh shut up” then you stated that they found another OP build and I was all “Ok then fair enough.” But considering they haven’t ACTUALLY died hard yet I think warrior still stands.

All I know is that Engi, Warrior, Necro forums are very vocal about their classes.

not-so-oddly enough, my three characters are Engi, Warrior, Necro.

well, i have 3 mesmers, so i guess that qualifies me as a “mesmer diehard”.
i dont browse the other profession forums as much so i cant tell :P.

Eles is my die-hard class, no matter what, it is always my playlist.

Why the hell else would we play this class when all other classes do their jobs better than them?

Like everyone else I have my alt characters I play for fun i.e Engi and Mes(I know) but I cant play these as well as my Warrior.

If you mean by die-hard fans by as in people like playing with a certain profession. That profession would be engineer, I’ve never seen anyone complain about not wanting them on there teams, engineers are wanted on all teams. They bunker extremely well and as well as dps. They have a lot of utility to do practically everything extremely well but move around map very fast.

I play bunker engineer and when I take on 3 guys (condi builds) and hold them for a long period of time (mostly by luck or they sucking) people start to respect me. Engineers have so much condi removal, knockbacks, heals, immune to condi if you time knockback right you can steal nodes and avoid dieing and getting your heal back up, its unwise to try and kill a engineer by condi’s.

The profession I hate having on my team is ranger, they are kittening worthless all they do is avoid all day and don’t do jack kitten to help the team but try and survive. I’d have a necro or warrior over a ranger anyday. Think of it like this, on ascalon fractals stand in ae of arrowcarts, that’s what I consider a ranger, now go and stand under the burning oil that’s what I consider warrior and necro. Its obvious that nobody takes out the arrow carts because its just something tickling me, however everyone always takes out burning oil because that’s something that will ruin me. The only thing a ranger is good at is annoying people and staying alive, I don’t have time for people to annoy others, I need results to win that’s why I prefer warriors and necros over rangers.

However if you mean die-hard fan as in they fight for there profession not to get nerfed, that would be warrior because people obviously play warrior to do CoF P1 the fastest and they want to be dominate in PvP as well. Warrior is like the first ever class to be in a MMORPG people are dedicated to warriors in every MMORPG and will fight for them.
