Fun in PvP
I play it for fun, also because there’s not a real reward to play it.
It’s simple…you stay away from ele and necro, especially ele and you’ll have your fun …when the MMR allows it.
Shame You can’t decide on which maps you want to play always as I’d play everything except : Coliseum and Graveyard, which are snowballs maps…suitable for mindless deathmatch zerg that GW2 community loves so much.
Unfortunately Coliseum and Graveyard will be the maps you’ll see like 80% of the times so…that greatly detract from my overall enjoyment, therefore I limit myself to 3-5 games…every 2-3 days or so
I play for reward track.
I have fun in pvp, mainly with base engi and necro. All post HoT is prety boring tho. Beside only thing atm i am missing is more competitive scene, like old leaderboard and matchmaking was (with better/more players ofc).
once played for fun, now i’m pretty bored w/ the whole thing. if i play, tis for daily and/or achieves
I’ve played it for fun but don’t really have fun anymore here. As i main a necro pvp char and got bored of my perfomance is up to what kind of teammates i get in solo team and 3-4v5’s wasting time.
If i get bad players i get stomped hard in seconds for 10mins on necro / match = boring. If i get decent players there is a chance to have fun but again not much fun if i stomp the enemy totally they can’t even come out of their spawn.
This game have the best combat i ever played but the balance and matchmaking is terrible and as i experienced anet is not great at taking advice on making changes or very slow in pvp related changes its a bit late when a bit of something good happens.
Searching for new game atm or maybe going back to play some FPS for some balanced pvp if i can’t find better pvp balanced mmorpg with necromancer or warlock, dark mage like class

I definitely enjoy the pvp here. The combat is good, and I enjoy the buildcrafting.
I could care less for rewards and enjoy the offseason more than the season due to there being less salt and angry raging tryhards.

Except coloseum – i play them for fun – and if coloseum would get a mechanic that could give you a chance to win after you are 100-200 points back – i could enjoy coloseum as well (sure it is theoretical possible – but it’s way more likely in every other map)
Of the artefacts would give 25 points each, it could be enough
I have absolutely no fun whatsoever in Quick Play. I enjoy ranked when there are good players and good matchmaking. The matchmaking was terrible for a while now and it’s supposed to be better the next season. Whenever that comes.
the trick to having fun in pvp is to remind yourself that its ok to lose if the fight was fun, and take a break as soon as it gets frustrating. Too many pl.ayers go emo if they lose not realising that great fights > ranking points ultimately in a game.

I don’t “enjoy” it precisely. Unless you count masochistic pleasure.
Rather I play PvP because I want to be better at it. It might be the top individual, ( not team, ) challenge in the game.
I want to be better, particularly as a Mesmer, so, I try to get games in daily.
When I feel like I’m performing well, it’s the best thing in the game. Other days I just can’t seem to get a good game, which is frustrating.
Sonya for females. (necro,rev,ranger,mes,engi)
All classes lvl 80.
I can’t help but laugh at players complaining about unranked match results. I play unranked simply to fight players. Whether my team wins or loses doesn’t matter to me at all. Nothing is at stake whatsoever lmao those same people that take unranked so seriously barely progess past Ruby during seasons, let alone make it to Pro Leagues. Luckily for the pros, I wasn’t active for ToL. Otherwise, druids would’ve been nerfed again and my main ammy would be taken out of the game, again.

I play for fun, and sometimes reward tracks for crafting. I have the best times in the closest matches (win or lose), and the worst when people kitten and give up over a 100 point gap.
I have lots of fun because I try all kinds of weird builds to confuse my enemies. I get tons of salt thrown at me all the time but I don’t really care lol.. I enjoy doing this
I do play for fun and counter builds it’s what I enjoy.
Between a master and apprentice, i would love to see the differences.
Can’t have fun when everyone plays like a robot.
Warrior=Mace/Shield, Rifle while punching rocks to go Berserk.
Guardian=Can’t have enough traps
Don’t see any Revs really, so can’t say.
Thief=V5
Ranger=Pets are always fat hippo and Magic show.
Engineer=Exploding gyros everywhere
Necro=Minionmancer build only
Mesmer=Let the conditions do the work for them
Ele=Useless
PVP is for reward tracks, collections and Achievement points, no GLHF, no GF and no GG’s anymore.
I don’t think block block block dodge dodge miss miss inv inv block block move out heal heal move in block block ….. everyone like a robot do their rotation is fun. In Hot, I don’t care what are enemy doing. I just see my skill cool down and pass the keys by step. This is all about HoT. This is not a fighting. Give us back oldest PVP.

The rare times when it’s either not you narrowly losing after carrying a team of pugs; or slaughter-stomping the enemy team; yes, I do enjoy PvP.
