After hearing/reading about the plans for PvP rewards I’m left with a “few” questions.

1. How will the PvP crafting system be affected?
Will we still be able to salvage and craft PvP gear?

2. How will the PvP locker be affected. Will we still be able to store PvP skins and transfer them between characters? Will this feature be disabled for PvP gear we also use in PvE? Will we get a PvE bank in the PvP lobby

3. How will the conversion from PvP to PvE work specifically? Will we get account/soul/unbound versions of the PvP gear in PvE? Will it have stats? Will it be a consumable skin?

The third question concerns me the most because of “Existing PvP skins will still have value with upcoming changes, so it benefits you greatly to continue filling out your collection.”. This suggests that PvP gear might not be account/soul bound when converted to PvE making some of those items very valuable to aquire in PvP and simultaneously decreasing the value of their counterparts in PvE. A good example of this would be crafting PvP Runic Sword and selling it in PvE as Infinite Light.

At first I thought this would be a ridiculous idea because of the backlash PvE people will have for how “easy” it might be to acquire gear that’s more difficult to acquire in PvE. However, if we can sell PvP skins in PvE, it will actually be easier to buy and it will give PvPers a much needed source of gold. Obviously there would need to be some balance to make them as difficult to acquire in PvP as PvE.

TL/DR Should I be crafting/hoarding PvP skins I want for myself in PvE or to sell in PvE.

I can’t for the life of me imagine anet would risk their precious economy. I don’t see it likely that pvp-earned rewards will be made sellable all of a sudden. Their wording lacks any details, and I wouldn’t put it past them to make the skins account bound “well hey, they’re still greatly valuable to your alts…”

I’m curious about this as well. I suspect that they will make allow us to make unlimited withdrawals of skins that are in your locker, but for sPvP use only. Kind of like how we can make unlimited withdrawals of the achievement point weaponskins. It would answer the problem of frequently losing skins when you change your build, because you don’t have enough storage space to hold onto all of the old skins. Although, I think they said they were going to get rid of sPvP crafting, so I’m not sure how we’re supposed to get skins in the future. As far as I know, they haven’t confirmed that we’ll be able to use the sPvP skins in PvE either.

I have no idea how it is going to pan out, honestly, but tbh it had better be something good for pvp players with at least some kind of recognition system for the pvp you have already done. I’ve been playing since release and still don’t have the frozen pvp staff/scepter that I want. That might sound like a petty complaint, but in pvp we have nothing else to even aspire to other than skins, so beggars can’t really be choosers. That’s despite spending 500k+ Glory trying to get the rare craft and getting nothing but copies of the same skin.

By comparison if I had spent as much time in pve as I have in pvp since release I’d be sitting on at least two legendary items or probably more [I’m pretty sure I seen someone with 4 or more somewhere], whereas playing only pvp I have nothing to show for it, not even the skins that I wanted that aren’t as amazing looking as the legendary skins whichdon’t exist in pvp. So if pve players cry that pvp makes some of their armour ‘easier to get’ I have no sympathy, at all.

I’m currently sitting on 40k+ Glory and have a pretty good idea of how I’ll spend it, but would love to know if it’s even worth using some of my glory on skins via the Koda vendor.
I don’t sPvP anymore but hot kitten if after the update I can ‘transfer’ the current skins I have for PvE use! Even if it’s a soulbound system, I would love it. Yes or no – either answer would be so helpful.
