I just saw that the arenanet official channel is streaming some WvW and they have almost 2.500 viewers atm. That remembered me of HiRez, a company that does something similar with smite.

They have their twitch channel online 24/7 and there’s always a guest (always from top teams) streaming with solid 1-3k viewers. That also allows them to be on front page quite often achieving amazing publicity and nice entertainment.

I definitely think this model should be copied. When a player is looking for a pvp game he will probably go to twitch and check those with the most viewers. If they notice GW2 (it’s on the bottom of the list) they will just see it has 150 viewers and conclude game is bad.

Anet could stream pve, wvw and spvp depending on the time. It would be the ultimate way to show to the world that gw2 is not dead.

Your thoughts? For me it’s the cheapest way to advertise a game.

They blew it from the start. Any game that really wants to let their players advertise their game on Twitch should make streaming to Twitch built-in.

I literally should only need to go to Options -> Streaming -> Enter my Twitch details -> Start Stream, and BAM I am streaming to Twitch. No need for 3rd party software unless I want advanced streaming.

This would up the streaming count considerably. Whether it would up the viewer count is hard to say, as a stream needs to actually be entertaining to have viewers. That is the caster needs to have personality.

You could say banning Kripp and offending him was the real end of streaming for GW2. That guy was bringing thousands of viewers.

Good suggestion I hope they take it to heart. Although to be honest they could of done a lot of things for months now. The ball has been in their court for a long time and their actions has shown us where their priorities are. Or whether resources are lacking.

Yea they totally tricked you, because for esports game it needs to be 100% spvp

And thats not going to happen.
