They really need to go back to the old PvP system in GW1, it was so great and I don’t understand why anet has to change every thing about GW that is already great and that people are enjoying.
Not a chance, they need to fix the game in its current state which is a mess before even thinking about adding anything else – Knowing them they will manage to make something amazing that will have a single flaw that will break all of PvP and wont get fixed for months….if ever.
The PvP was fun ill agree with you on that so maybe that would work too.

Ah the joys of hope, i had that – Now its gone seeing as the game STILL has many issues and bugs that were IN the Beta’s that STILL havent been fixed and when do they do “fix” something they some how manage to make it WORSE
I can’t argue with that, but lets just wait and see what they will do for us.
I’n future patches i would like to see some new game modes if you can please:

Death Match
1v1 Arenas
2v2 Arenas
3v3 Arenas
Death match… When are people going to realize the profession system in GW2 isn’t designed for this? Not going to even dive into the unbalance aspect of it. Can you imagine a 2v2 team with a good bunker on it? 90% of the games would just be a test of who could go the longest without needing to step away from the computer. The top players will probably have to buy catheters.
As for CTF… Yeah, maybe. Don’t forget though, every tPvP map has a side objective that can be captured/defended/destroyed, which is pretty much CTF in a nutshell.

I think a CTF only map design could work. For instance, maybe each team will have 3 or 4 flags instead of one that give varying amounts of points if they are captured. Furthermore, you could add a jumping puzzle type element to the gameplay where the flags require some jumping skills to get to or maybe there are short cuts in the map that are difficult to navigate and leave you at risk of being knocked off. Could be fun deciding which flag your team should go for, which flag to defend, and how to cut off other players that have taken one of your flags.
If you ask me balancing a game to an esport level is hard enough. Adding more gamemodes will only make this harder, if of course those game modes are supposed to be competitive.
Just look at LoL (I know referencing it the esport example gets old) and how reluctant they were to add an additional game mode.
That said I’m all for less serious non competitive game modes to break the tedium.

Personally CTF will be broken until they fix Bunker Guardians. I think a a Mode where you capture a resource that requires say 1500points to win would be good, mean people would have to focus on killing other people and dropping the resource off.
They need to make it so kills DONT count towards points earned on current and all future maps and modes.
gotta stop comparing this game to LoL, they took a already proven really succesfull/popular game mode and worked with it, gw2 conquest has failed, i think 3vs3 deathmatch would be alot more fun/popular.
and bunkers will not be nearly as OP in a deathmatch setting as bunker+aoe is in a conquest/node capture setting.

Please no generic game modes such as CTF and death match. Their old and just aren’t top E Sport material. Top E Sport material needs game modes with more depth such as MOBA but I’m not saying to adopt MOBA game mode. GW2 should design a game mode never before seen that suits GW2 best that has the depth and everything E Sport game mode needs.
