so i got to rank 8 yesterday and had around 2500 glory , spent some on rank 1/10 vendor now i know am not that super awesome rank guy am just getting started but the thing is people kept telling me to use the forge and that really made me feel that i must get Lucky in order to get the weapon to come out, and must of all felt Grindy i remamber arena net said they are not a farming mmo but i can see that way.

now i gotta save my glory till rank 40 and wait for a long time so i make sure i well have some….luck to gear….
i mean REALLY? was it hard to have items in the pvp locker sold with X amount glory ? or yeah right i should get…Lucky in order to get items

The gear you get is not random. There is a recipe for every single item.

Guru has a nice topic where you can find a lot of the recipes.

Also A.Net NEVER said that this game did not have farming. It has tons of farming. All the game is is farming. If you had played GW1 it had tons of farming. What you don’t have to do is farm stat gear (for pvp).

PvP Mystic Forge Recipes

You also start getting very decent looking weaponry on rank 10-20. No need to wait till rank 40. And then there are of course the free tournament rewards.

Go to your PvP Locker, find a sword that you want to make (that you CAN at your PvP Rank, as in Rabbit, Deer, Dolyak, etc), take the crap that you get from the Glory chests, buy PvP Salvage kits & salvage the items you get that you don’t want, Go to the Guild Wars 2 Guru site (Google is your friend!) & do a search for PvP Mystic Forge Recipes, that’s ALL you need.

I made all my gear, weapons, even Glory boosters & dyes, out of junk from chests that I didn’t want/couldn’t use so I salvaged it. You already know how to use the Forge, just follow the easy-to-understand chart you find there & you’re good.
