Geez, I wonder why I lost
I saw far worse…actually, I was seeing 10 worse matchmakings in a row in sapphire right now
If you’re actually wondering why you lost: your team comp is terrible, and 3 Reapers is never a good idea. Competent players would have switched for a more even matchup. You were one of the ones who did not switch and have nobody to blame but yourself.
If you’re blaming the colored icons next to peoples names: 5 diamonds (yes, your ruby counts as a diamond because of who he grouped with) versus 4 + 1 legend isn’t exactly an imbalanced matchup.

And the other team had a warrior. So the game was 4.5 players vs 5.
part of the reason you lost is because your team has 3 necros and you didnt log on another class that your team could need

The other team didn’t have a war, it was an engi who switched for the achievement at 400 score.
Forget the comp for a sec, can all you smarty pants answer why would there be a legend on the other team at T4 diamond while not balancing it out with a legend on my team?

3 necros, no support
1 thief, no support
1 ranger bless his heart trying his best but he can’t carry all these necros and thieves
vs
ele and ranger
/crickets
The other team didn’t have a war, it was a rev who switched for the achievement at 400 score.

Because you have a small premade on your side. This is literally as even as a matchup could be without both sides being exactly the same.
Small premades aren’t necessarily good or coordinated.

no but people complained constantly when they were treated as being equal that they should be treated as better due to being teamed up…

I’ll tell you why I lost, it wasn’t the comp I see unfavorable comps win all day long in solo ranked q, I lost because Toker was on the other side which according to matchmaking would team him up with ppl at his skill level (or close) meaning probably the most skilled players that exist in diamond ATM.

Three reapers and a thief, its a comp where you have to play smart. Its quite easy to win that, IF your reapers know how to position themselves so they can do maximum dps without needing tons of sustain. It is khylo, its quite easy to position yourself so only the rev is a problem, but if you switch focus to that rev as soon as he overextends, you should do okay.
From score distribution, Id guess you let thief cap home, ranger went with mid… and necros died on point in mid. Thats probably the worst opening you can do on khylo with three necros.
Ranger caps home, thief shoots treb on clocktower a coule of times and then moves on to far decap, necros position sides of clocktower → focus rev when he ports up, focus ranger afterwards and you might win that first teamfight, if the enemy team isnt smart enough to give up trying to cap and chases a necro.
If they do focus one necro, peel, run in range to close for ranger to support.
Its how I would have tried to play with that comp. Might not be the best way, but you should at least be able to get a higher score than under 200.

Wow! over 200? I see the light now I should have gone ele
Your team comp was horrible… no wonder you lost. What did you expect to gain with 3 necs thief druid comp???
I don’t need to see see a replay to know that:
- 3 Necs can’t sustain on point – their initial burst will poof out and slowly start to die from the other team’s sustains.
- Thief wont know what to do with himself, roaming around point to point unable to down a sustainy Ele/Engi/Druid due to their team having 0 bursts to go along… he needed a DH or Mesmer with him to burst down any 1 class.
- Your Druid can’t do much with your comp. He’ll occassionally win a side node but will quickly get +1’d. He’ll help cleanse your team in mid and S&R people but would still get out sustained and die himself from heavy CC’s.
You absolutely needed an Ele+Mesmer for your thief or replace Teef with Ele + X class… oh and Necros never really stacked well without some one like Ele keeping them up.

You lost because you weren’t in a pre made with the lord Seth Kappa
Looks like matchmaking is working.
It’s a 15 pip range up or down so.. You could be mid diamond, someone else nearly legendary – for your side.
The opposite side found a team in pip range – unfortunately the opposite team had some PvP Gods (eg Toker) on the opposite side – as they don’t play so many ranked matches and have not yet made it into legendary.
I’ve played with you – you know rotations play well and strong.
Had a match earlier today with someone vs ApEX Prime [APEX] – we only just clawed a win by about 50 points. They were a diamond rank mixed with some legendarys – we were a full diamond team,
Earlier in the day I also fought team PZ – lost 2 of them < 200 points nothing I could do to win the match. However I also had the same team PZ player on my side and we just about won 450v500.
Matchmaking is a bit screwy as I know you play well – I’m now 9 pips from legendary with a low win ratio for the season of 45.9%. I have also learnt a lot more this season than last season. My win ratio is screwed as I lost a lot of emerald games-but I’m probably just shy over 50% for my diamond games or just under since I modified my build slightly and play style.
Hang in there – you’ll make it.
Plenty of time to go before the end of the season.

Thanks man
For some reason I was certain the pip search range is +-7, but even +-15 shouldn’t have gotten me legendaried as I was 19 pips away from legend (T4 1 pip).
I recommend learning a support class to reroll to for these situations, like druid, scrapper, or ele.

What exact bonus people in legendary division have to make them superawesome deciding factor?
+20% on all stats, or something like that?

What difference does it make? does this seem like proper matchmaking to you given the pip difference? That is the only question you should be asking.
