At the risk of creating another QQ thread, I truly want to know what is going on here. I am unbelievably frustrated with PvP.

I have about 1000 games under my belt. I know that isn’t a ton, but it is a significant amount. I got to diamond in Season 1 with not too much trouble. My win rate over all was 54%.

This season, I am stuck in Ruby and my win rate has dropped to 48%. Am I truly that much worse that my win rate has dropped 6%?

I know that I should “git gud,” but I am absolutely baffled at how I am “gitting worse” when I have more experience, better game knowledge, and more practice.

I just took a 5 day break and I’m on my 3rd loss of the night in a row. What is happening? I’m really losing all hope and motivation to even play GW2.

EDIT: I main Necro, Tempest, DH and am decent with Engie. I play only meta builds.

How would we know if you got worse? The only way we could tell is if you posted some vids of your games in s1, and then some vids of s2. Maybe you got worse. Maybe not.

It’s not you, outcome of the game is decided before the game starts. Like this game today where we were 5vs4 and still lost with 300-500.

season one matchmaking would try to make the teams even no matter what, so really good players got dragged down by bad players and bads got carried by really good ones, season 2 all of ur teamates are ur mmr or as the game sees it skill level. The enemy team is not brought down or up to ur level. if ur stuck in ruby if we assume that mmr is equal to skill and the higher mmr team wins, that means a lil bit over 50% of people in ruby have higher mmr or skill level than u right now. Now i know mmr doesnt necessarily mean skill but thats how the game sees it.
