Getting cosmetic gear in SPvP
I save my glory for 10 ranks at a time and when I hit a new bracket I splurge and by stacks of gold chests and salvage kits. deposit all collectibles (you might need it for your other toons!) and salvage everything else. save up arcane crystals and slivers as they generally make rarer items (orbs and powder accumulate fast – I have more than my locker will hold). tourney tokens generally make the best items early on. Rank gear doesn’t really get interesting until you hit 20.
Drops are somewhat random, though rarer items salvage better mats (sometimes), but recipes are simple. Here’s a decent link to tell you how to make different stuff in each tier.

also, you can preview all items in the PvP locker even if you don’t have them yet
hope that helps. good luck!
I’ve stayed at this party entirely too long

Here is a list of rewards from each rank. It’s mostly random, but you can use the Mystic Forge to craft exact items, provided you have the materials.
Gladiator armor is available to players rank 30 and up. No player in the game currently has any cultural armor from PvP, so you probably won’t see those for a very long time.
I’d advise taking a look through the free tournament gear, and seeing if you like any of it. It’s relatively easy to acquire, and available to all ranks. If you have tickets, you can also get some paid tournament gear, as all teams receive at least some reward, win or lose. However, it will likely be difficult to get the pieces you want without a solid tournament team.
Nefarious Mushroom Plan [gasp]
Until they allow custom dyes instead of red/blue, aesthetics is kind of meh. I hardly pay attention what my opponent is wearing. They’re just red or blue.
well armor gets really pretty at 50.. i got 40 today and the amor is not that good looking imo at 50 it gets nice with the molten gear but yea i dont have the stomach to get another 500k glory with a system that rewards you 10 glory for a cap and 15 for a kill..
Thanks a bunch! That wiki page is what I had been looking for but couldn’t find. Looks like I’ll be hoarding glory for quite a while!
