Guild Wars 2

I’m not sure what the cause is, but since the last patch, I’ve noticed a few times where I become permanently rooted. First it happened playing against a mesmer and I thought the mesmer was hacking or maybe mesmers got buffed again lol

Then, I was fighting the chieftain alone with my mesmer and i became permanently rooted against him. I killed him and I was indefinitely stuck. I could cast abilities but none that would allow me to move. Could not dodge. I was later downed when a zerg of the enemy team showed up. I was rezz’d by a friendly there, and boom, I could move again.

Anyone else?

Also, for clarification, using mouse left/right together, using WASD or any other key that allows movement didn’t work. Nothing.

I have had it happen after certain immobilizes like the mesmer one or the ranger one. where the condition was off of me, but I was unable to move out of place.

I think this is known as the immobilize bug.

I posted this in the bug forums a week or 2 ago,and it just got burried. This is a serious problem, and usually happens when immobilize wears off on me. They only way to move is to use a movement skill or teleport, if they are on cd, or you don’t have any, GOOD LUCK. All you can do is sit and watch yourself get destroyed while not being able to move.

Yeah ended in my death on a few close fights. Annoying if you dont have a movement or tele skill up as a necro you only have one of those so its kind of gamebreaking for someclasses.

Yeah, happens to me too. The best way to break it is to use a movement skill. A teleport, leap, etc. Also, things like Blurred Frenzy free you as well.
