So ive been in sapphire 5 for DAYS with more than 50 games played in this tier, during this time I have been matched with a lot of the same people, from AFKs to trolls to outright terrible players(I don’t blame them for this last one).

However they are ALWAYS on my side, I have kept an eye on these and there are certain players that keep getting matched WITH me and never against, even the opposing players tend to be the same very often. This makes it so much more likely to constantly be in a win or losing streak.

Specifically my last 3 times has been with a ranger that insists on starting far, just to die and then repeat that process. Thnaks to this mid is quickly outnumbered and lost. From there the game spirals downwards as you might expect and once we are behind 80+ points the ranger will then go AFK.
We have all reported him through all 3 games of which a few of us have been matched with and against him repeated.

Can we please get this looked at why the matchmaking does this? i eamn if you get matched with the same team every time and the enemy team is often the same or similar as the previous one that was badly lost, then you are almost assured to lose again? This is infuriating and clearly can’t be intended.

Afk happens when match’s stop being competitive and they see people doing the same stupid things over and over. If this is Anets idea of a ladder tournament then they need to add a surrender option so people can stop wasting their time in losing match’s.

Anet have to fix very unbalanced non competitive games or give surrender option. Its not fun to be on match where only you or maybe one more doing everything but the others of your team doing low damage, cant cc, don’t stomp people that i killed when required while 2-3 players ganking me and none helps. they knockback downed people i started to stomp. they want to kill ele first that trolling 2-3 player while having like full health, your teams ele dies in 2sec, i defend close and kill attackers team only come to to stomp the guy ive killed so it can respawn as fast as possible while that guy could help others not just come to stomp my downed nmy players. if they dont come i just let it bleed out, they don’t help res teammates for faster res + cc’s to help res, they keep doing same thing that doesn’t work. die at mid in 2 sec. everyone at close etc.

This is the worst unbalanced low skilled system ever to date. putting experienced good players in team that dont know the basic pvp things against a team that knows.

Really give surrender option or fix matchmaking some how to get same skilled teammates not that bad players i was talking about.

better, they should just award the pips to the higher MMR team without a match. Save everyone the trouble of playing.

That is the thing though, the game remains pretty close with ~100 difference and as you can see in the original post HE is the one doing stupid stuff over and over. Yet we manage to keep it close and then he goes and afks.

That is kinda not the point though.

The point is why do i keep getting matched with these same people game after game vs the same people?

Because you play with the evil. You are cursed by matchmaking system.

The MM minimizes variance of MMR of people on the same team, but not between teams
As a result the 5 with higher MMR will always end up in the same team, and the 5 with lower MMR will always end up in the other team.
The only way to avoid this is to fill you team, so the braindead MM have no room to put noobs.

I assumed as much. Now if a dev can come and comment, maybe they can fix it 3 seasons from now.

Same mesmer from yesterday a few games in my team now. Am i ever going to get out of this mess?

He isn’t the only one though. At this point I have about 8 names I can recognize on load in >_<

Well at that point you should probably take a break and/or wait till they move up honestly.

If you can, try a different timezone too it might help.

Yea, it gets annoying.
I had one bad ele on my team two times in a row. Luckily the guy went onto the other side in the third game.
