Please dont put me ingame with people I have on my ignore list, If I wanted to play with them or hear what they have to say, I wouldn’t have blocked them.

I know a feature like this would take years to implement because it is such a massive change and would rework the game completely, but I’d be very grateful.

P.S This should apply to the lfg tool too, I don’t want to join a group or have my group appear on someone’s lfg if I have them blocked. Forcing me to play with these people just creates a toxic environment on both sides.

Terrible idea for this reason alone: it would be abused.
Get stomped by players better than you —> add them to blocked list so you don’t have to play with them anymore —> everyone blocks everyone eventually, no more pvp

Plenty of those people are probably better then you I am sure they don’t want to play with you either. It’s just the odds you surely can’t be better then everyone that had a disagreement with you.. Can’t be done for reasons already mentioned.

How about just not teaming you with them? They can still be opponents.

Then you would block players you thought were bad.

Think of it the opposite way – if it were more likely to team you up with friends, people would just friend top players. Is that a good system? Isn’t matchmaking already a little rough without another angle?

I could see not being put on the same team as a blocked person, but that shouldn’t stop the matchmaking from setting you up against them.

Would be nice if pvp had set up a system like WvW where you can’t talk to your opponents, at least through map chat. Whispers or Say seems reasonable though. Probably impossible, but limit verbal abuse from other team. Then again haters goin’ to hate.

But it isn’t more likely to team you up with friends… so that’s not an issue.

If elitists block everyone they feel is bad, then so be it… hope they enjoy the longer queue times… and hope that good players don’t block them.

That’s like moving out of your hometown because your ex lives there. Keep your chin up.
