There is this option on your character select screen that says delete character after that you type in your toons name and click delete now you can create a new toon. Use leveling scrolls and tomes to level up( ofc before deleting your toon salvage what gear you can)

That’s the main problem, there must be something to run, but nothing even near to compete.

Uh, you know, celestial is only removed in PvP. If you were going to class change, for the sake of PvP, you just need to make a new character, of a different class. You don’t need to level up, you don’t need to re-gear.

See how that works?

I never played cele on my ele, and I wrecked cele eles every time. You’ve been playing your class wrong from the start if you think that’s what you needed to win.

It might not be meta anymore and certainly not godmode, but I’ve seen some Paladin and Merc Eles do fairly okay.

I’d hold off the sky is falling stuff and keep trying. Not meta =/= terrible useless unviable.

There are no new specs. I and many other haved played 99% ele since launch, and we’ve tried ALL the options, none of them work, trust me.

At least you can make a proper mesmer build using the same old classic shatter. Yes, it isn’t HoT-strong, but it was at least top-tier for pre-HoT power-levels. Eles don’t even have a spec that would be considered “pretty strong” on a pre-HoT scale.

This patch destroyed chronomancer b/c chrono is balanced around alacrity.

The ENTIRE ele class was balanced around cele…not just 1 trait line.

Thanks for trying, though. I’m so sorry you have to play differently now, but it’s called balance. Celestial was too strong with the elite spec and every sPvP video with proleague show that.

No i am pretty sure cele amulet was in the game from the beginning. It just wasnt used before it got the stat increase buff.

Back to the op… Given the fact that you can immediately pvp with a new character just fine, i think you demand is unreasonable.

My ele isn’t going anywhere. She may not be top dog right now, but it isn’t forever. Her day will come again eventually. That’s just how it works with Anet.

Boohoo the class that has been meta longer then anyone else might be subpar for a bit. I say might because we are one day in to the changes who knows what people will come up with in a few more days. The people that had it the best are always the loudest whiners. Already more ele and mesmer whine threads then legitimate grievance threads for classes like Warriors and Thieves in the last several months.

Really? Because the last two prolagues had barely any eles. Why was that when ele was so much op?

If you know when they added it, you should also know that ele was trash till they buffed cele amulet.

Bazzar of the Four Winds introduced the recipe for PvE celestial gear.

PvP had access to celestial jewel way before that. I wasn’t here during beta and release, came a couple of months later but people says the jewel has been in game since then. As for a substantial proof, here’s a thread dated from November 5th 2012 mentioning celestial stats for Ele builds:

Both Guardians and Thieves have been meta WAY longer than eles ever were. There was a FULL YEAR of eles being so utter trash you were harrassed in unranked for even having the guts to play one.

Well thank YOU for trying. Celestial amulet was in the game since release. It was only later added to PVE. It was in PVP from the start. The patch that introduced it in pve only buffed it in pvp.
