Giving pips based on score
seems fair.
maybe 500 score = 500/500 × 10 pips ?
lost with 500 vs 350 = 350/500 × 10 = 7 pips ?
killed lord, won 600 vs 400 = 600/500 × 10 = 12 pips ?
200 score difference, another 200/500 × 10 = 4 pips ?
top stat? 1 pip ? total 17 pips ?

It’s not that linear, the game actively creates a “winner” team from the get go, sometimes to ridiculous extents, like 2 duos on a team, and none on the other, or a team’s MMR average being 100~200 points above the other, when that team wins, you can’t expect it to win a bonus, since it was BUILT to win. If the “loser” team wins, then those SHOULD have a bonus both on MMR and pips.
Although i’d argue that pips are actually unhealthy for PvP. Having instant gratification rewards like that are conducive to unhealthy habits like people farming pips till they get what they need, then just quitting PvP until the next season.
What we need is a end-season reward, based on ranking, that is only available after season ends. (Kind of like the champion skins/borders/icons on LoL).
I think the amount of pips for winning and losing are fine. Wouldn’t mind seeing a change where instead of a flat +1 pip for having top stats though you instead got +1 pip for each top stat you earned.
