Guild Wars 2

Ok I know this could be really hard to implement, but it could be such an amazing feature i need to request this.

Please add gliding aerial combat to the game (even in a pvp game mode specialized for this), each class could have their own skills (necro could summon aerial minions, invoke bat clouds to obscure player vision making them miss updrafts, rangers could have eagles and call upon vines to entangle gliding players, mesmers could change the perception of altitude or create aerial illusions, warriors could just go ham with hooks pull players and proceed to attack them mid air, eles could summon updrafts and down drafts, engineers could install machine guns and bombs on gliders, guardians could summon shields and launch flames at enemy gliders…as you can see potential is limitless.

This would really create a buzz in the mmo market imho.

this would be like under water pvp except its above water.

Except with the added complexity of having gliders and needing to keep strategic use of updrafts to keep in air this would add to the fun of it.
Dog fighting (more like glider fighting) with an charr with aviator helmet would really make my day

Use thus manpower for weekly balance patches and the community will thank you. This ist just dome kind of funmose we dont really need. (Although i would like it for a few games)

Yeah kinda of a dream but one can only hope, I can imagine if they increase speed of gliders and create some fun pvp maps and add aerial maneuvers (loops, spirals etc…) this mode could be a blast to play, add to this customized aerial glider skins and potential glider upgrades and mastery tie ins and you could have a very deep game mode

yeap think your right this seems more like a relaxed pvp game mode, it could have aerial races, obstacle courses too kitten nnnn I can see so many possibilities with this

well i waited 8 years for guild wars armor to be able to change stats and skins.

what i wrote back in 2007.

Smart Armor System – Guild Wars 2 (SAS-GW2) (Added 30 March 2007)

Basically, the concept is as follows:
- character never needs to discard armor
- existing armor is upgraded by various armorers as character progresses
- armor is capable of altering its appearance and stats after various upgrades
- various materials and cost (gold?) is required for the armor upgrades
- possibly special items required for special armors (unique skins)

back then, they do not have official forums for guild wars 1 and relied on fan site forums.

Almost as stupid as flying mounts with 500% movementspeed equipped with miniguns. Please stop with all the unrealistic ideas and focus on the current problems.

well basicaly water fight and air fight would be the same.

Since water fight is impossible to balance, or they are not willing to do it now. This won’t happen.

If you want flying pvp NCsoft has that in AION, take into account they would have to built a whole new system/skills/animations for it be done here.

Well i have to agree that it is time consuming and it’s hard to do, but what i imagine isn´t like water combat or like aion air combat, what I imagine is like having a true dog fighting game mode (ace combat style) with mmo flavour to it.

I ain’t counting for it to be done, but seems to me a very fun game mode with lots of cool possibilities (including nice micro transactions).

But hey it´s just an idea…it´s out here if anet finds it interesting nice if not no harm done
