Shouldn’t some activities reward glory?

I was reminded by this by the Lunatic Inquisition, but oddly Keg Brawl is the thing which more readily comes to mind.
It’s clearly player-vs-player, it’s actually balanced due to the equal ability set, and if a player expends time playing PvP (independent of the type), they should get some of the grind-PvP-currency.

Not necessarily a whole lot, ofc.

Just hearing that makes me sad.
I had 500+ match win reward chests, HALF million glory. Come back to game and POOF.. I should be rewarded/reimbursed with so many reward track track completions I’d be a rich player. Sadly its for not, and I’m a poor player, measly 43 gold.
I was playing the game smart, saving the reward chests for when I rank up to next tier to get more chances at more apparel, but who’d thought out of no where all stuff would go POOF, that was like a curve ball to me playing smart.
Instead of coming back to game wealthy, proudly showing off my wealth (spam 250 match win reward chests), proud of my half million glory I have (knowing I can get whatever I want from glory merchant) I get stripped to peasant and not welcomed for coming back.

Makes me wonder… Should I keep saving my 250+ laurels, or spend them in fear of the game stripping those away and me not being present to claim them before they get permanently removed, that is if they come to conclusion laurels are junk time to remove them.

there was like 4 months of time where they said they were going to be removed but kept them in game. youve been gone for over a year sooo

it shouldnt matter how long he was gone, anet changes things all the time for the convience of new players or crappy players. So why not to the people who actually paid for and played the game from the start?
