Hello devs, do you get gold at the end of the match or you get it from chests?

actually if they give gold a t the end of the match in general and it is still possible to earn pvp rewards by just hopping into an almost finished game then people might pvp farm (even if its not as rewarding as PvE farming) by either

a) hopping on almost finished matches and joining a team and doing anything to get the gold reward

b) LEEEEECH which is very bad. Leeching is already an issue now that you are pretty much rewarded for doing next to nothing and a losing

well, a simple fix would be to drastically increase the gold rewards from getting top stats.

maybe 25 silvers per top stats.
or even much, much more.
leechers can get some basic amount but the ones putting in effort will be rewarded more.

there are only 8 common topstats and the rest are map specifics.

i totally agree that topstats should have more impact even if it would force roles on players in pvp going tryhard to rezz your team or get kills or caps is never a bad thing

(unless people try to all get most fullcaps and all always stand on node together – which people are already still doing even though there is literally no reason to atm… i really dont get it – people in hotjoin are not very smart)

Maybe map specific objects would be weird when everyone always rushes svanir and chief / lord etc. On Kylho i would love to see players going for treb more often. So many teams in hotjoin get destroyed just because no one wants to go to the enemy treb.

yeah, once we start getting gold (silvers) from sPvP matches (hotjoins, solo arena, team arena, etc) they really should be drastically increasing the gold (silvers) reward from top stats by a ridiculous amount to encourage putting in more effort for the team.

what do you think about the amount? should it be a flat amount same for all top stat objectives? or “harder” ones should be more and “easier” ones get less?

or just the same amount for all, for some sense of fairness?

i think the auto balance volunteers who helped the losing team with lesser players won should get a whole lot more though.

I already proposed this so often:

The rankpoints (and the upcomming gold) should simply be calculated by the relative amount of time a player participated in a game:
If you joined when the game already was half over, you should only get 50% of the reward.

Additionaly, ANet needs to fix Autobalance.
When gold will be a pvp reward, a lot of players might start to leave a match if they are on the losing team and look for another match.
This will then result in getting one player of the winning team being autobalanced to the losing team.
→ Frustration.

While rewards for previous tourny wins would be nice, I want gold/xp/whatever to be tied exclusively to tournament wins. Hotjoin players should get nothing

i think the same but i dont want it to be on chests. that would be unfair for the players that hasnt opened them. so anet should just look how many wins u got in a certain tourney and send it via ingamemail to the players. we already see the informations in the pvp tab – teamq, soloq and old tourneys.
