Now i don’t know if I’m just crazy but i remember when the game was announced there were golem battles that were supposed to be implemented into the game. Does anyone else remember these? (NOT RC golem chess either)

It was in one of the asura storylines and it wasn’t that fun.

I don’t think he means that Golem battle chess. I think what he means is we sit in a golem and fight.

I have lots of golem battles with other necromancers. Have to love that golem knockdown.

You’re playing the wrong PvP format if you want golem battles.

This is the personal story quest that promised the golem battle. I know the article you’re talking about and it was about the personal story.

Just stalking the forums and hoping the game gets better.

Golems are slow, boring, have bad skills and can’t do anything too cool.
I’d prefer some Tank battles.

The golem effect where it bubbles itself, should work like guardian and provide a knockback, I’d love to see people get knocked off the walls.

The tank is faster and has a way longer range, so long and fast that I could evade my own
projectiles with it, and since the bubble isn’t there for too long it doesn’t even matter.

What kind of tank is fast, LoL o-O? If I recall back to the story, Charr’s tank getting destroyed just by a giant throwing stone at it, talk about fast =)). And if you confident enough in your missile that all it take is one missile to blow the Golem, and fast enough that the Golem high technology,powered by Asura highest advanced tech, can not detect it, how you gonna evade it when it fires back at you? Also, if your missile is that powerful, it will blow you up with just one hit,so my bubble duration is no problem. Back fire much, ha ha :P

Way faster than those Golems, that is for sure, also keep in mind that the Tanks
in Orr was just an experiment in it’s prototype phase, and that they used it more
as a baricade. Also it’s stated by the lore that Charr tech > Asura tech, since Asura
tech is mostly magic.

Well whatever this discussion won’t go anywere until we get a Golem & Tanks pvp mode.

It was fun while it lasts. As a final ending, Magic > Tech because for example, if you want to fly, Asura magic is just..fly, but with Tech, you need machine for it. So Magic > Tech million times. Also, the lore is dumb. Asura is way smarter than Charr :p

Well while you are right there is just one thing you shouldn’t forget:
99% of the things Asura build explode at some point. And since I am
a Thief, this is the moment I am waiting for.

U missed charr helicopters. Asura on its own doesnt have anything else behind golems that keep exploding anyway for whatever reason
