Grandmaster trait at level 1?
You can buy those traits at the trainer for 3 gold and 20 skill points I believe.

i tried but the trainer just went “hi sup, go away now”. Is there a minimum lvl for trainers as well?
No, not to my knowledge.
Maybe you talked to the wrong trainer? You need to talk to the one for your profession.
standing right in front of the necro trainer in lion’s arch, he’s just saluting me O.o. Tried queensdale as well.. nothing. this is some weird kitten :P Ill use my exp scroll and try at lvl 20 then thought its kind of a waste of scroll

Talk to the trainers in heart of the mists, that should work
^ Usually only characer that i play on
alright, so you do apparently need a certain level cuz at lvl 20 I can buy guides
Wrong…………….You want to PvP you have to go into PvP. You will get your skills there and can buy them. If you want to PvE, then you have to LvL your character to buy traits. You do not need to lvl for PvP.

I have run into this as well. I have all level 80 toons most from leveling tombs. For some reason I cant talk to pve trait vendors either.
You can use the trait book vendors at citadel of your home WvW map to buy Grandmaster traits. I did this for my ranger, so it works.
This is something that I wish they would change about PvP. The whole point of PvP originally was that everyone had equal access to traits, armor, and weapons. Now people who play more get access to additional traits and those with extra gold get access to new sigils/amulets.
Everything should be unlocked by default in PvP.

I agree with this. I’m somewhat fine with the Grandmaster traits being locked unless you do some special Temple Event, or find some big chest in the Ship of Sorrows or Defend the gates of Arah etc in PvE. But in PvP all Grandmaster traits should be unlocked.
I also recently bumped into this issue with my new ranger. I wanted to test some power builds but for that I need a certain Grandmaster trait that you can get by defending the gates or Arah xD Not going there with a low level PvE character. And certainly not wasting 3g and 20 skill points on build testing.
