and crafting with marks looks like it will be about 20% cheaper (from what I have read).
Problem is gonna be obtaining Ascended Shards of Glory which have been nerfed pretty hard.
So if you got some shards and weapons you want to get, Let’s get crafting!
The discount you get fluctuates with the market, but its already cheaper to craft depending on what stats you want last time I checked, so no the discount is nowhere close to 20%.

What he said. The current pvp path to ascended gear is probably the least efficient. Remember, you have to factor in the time you spend earning the ascsended shards (which are limited). That time could be spent simply farming materials or gold to buy them in SW. Much easier and efficient to craft them the old way.
Honestly, they probably should just scrap it.
Thank you all for responding! I have crafted 2 out of 3 of the marks for a weapon already. I indeed agree with your point that there are easier ways or atleast less expensive ways to obtain ascended weapons.
