It looks like reliance on passive skills is taking a reduction as well as skill activation in a linear fashion; players may actually have to consider strategy and effective timing. Players won’t be able to rely(as much) on an OP class skill/trait set to carry them past their fluttery button mashes. Oh god, what have you done Anet!
Yeah, meanwhile condi passive gameplay has skyrocketed and thieves spamming 1 can actually down power based classes now. kitten balance.

Condi passive gameplay? You mean sigil of ice, earth, geomancy, torment, leeching- o wait! They’re gone now!
But for real, most of the condi changes made with the patch are AoE based, meaning they’re not really hard to dodge…
