There are way too many complaints about the current no rewards philosophy.
You all do not represent the player base. Trust ANET. They are currently “investigating ways that we can get proper metrics to reflect the majority of the playerbase.”

Most of the player base apparently prefers this new system of no rewards. It is just you on the forums that enjoy rewards. How selfish.

Then some of you complain about ANET giving out glory boosters right up until the moment they became worthless. Why should you feel the need to get compensated for that? They look pretty in your storage. That should be reward enough. After all, at least you received something. With the new no rewards philosophy, people today don’t even get a pretty booster to look at in their storage. Again, you are all selfish for wanting more.

I’ll go one step further. So many people ask for skyhammer to be removed from solo queue. There is no where near consensus on that. I know at least 2 people out of everyone who plays PvP that enjoys the map. That means no consensus. As I mentioned before, you need to trust ANET. If there are 2 people who like it, there may be another 2 or 3 that also like it. That means even less of a consensus.

Players are so greedy!

I asked so many players in game and you wouldn’t believe how many love this current reward system.

The forum is full of uneducated players whose voices do not reflect the majority.

I conducted an impromptu poll of almost all players on various servers and skyhammer is actually a highly desired map. Many even want to see it in tQ!!!

Never listen to the people on the forums. They do not know what they really want. Trust random data ok???

Indeed, the ranks points we get are already so mighty a reward that asking more would simply be uncourteous. Shiny chests? Glory points? Ugh… I shudder at the thought of receiving things like that. They just clutter your inventory.

I place my unwavering trust in ANET, they have never let us down, they will never let us down. All hail our mighty overlord! May we forever generate revenue absent reward!

Yea, these guys here don’t know what they are talking about.

My whole guild is full of pvpers, they just LOVE Tpvp, every solo queue game is so balanced without leavers which put other games like League or Dota2 to shame.

Everyone is so nice and helpful, willing to teach other’s builds and tricks so we don’t even need a spectator mode.

On top of that, the reward is so great, look at the golds, the chest, and the ranks I gain from one Pvp Game! Holy Moly 30s! WoooHooo…with that instant queue time I could make a living from playing this game then sell gold to those gold sellers!

Esport here we go! It’s happening!

These forum users are only a very very small percentage of their player-base. A “vocal minority” if you will. Unimportant, and really unneeded. All necessary information is clearly disseminated in-game. If you didn’t hear about it, its not relevant or important. This is because all will be fixed, and made 90hundred times better soon.

It’s alright! People will soon realize that playing the game is a reward of its own.

I mean, the game is lots of fun, and atleast 50% of the time it’s the enemy team that fails to get the 5th player!

i just crafted my 5th legendary weapon just by playing pvp! believe the hype! pvp in this game is amazing! and more rewards coming SOON

Winning a match in spvp

Rumor update!!!

I heard a pretty exciting rumor that might satisfy forums users. (These are the greedy players who want rewards. Non-forums users are super happy about the no rewards philosophy)

In the mystical world of PvE, there is a big event at the temple of Balthazar. Currently, you beat it and get rewards. The new exciting idea is to add a capture point under the new boss. After you kill the boss and capture the point, you could be presented with a “match win” chest. That chest will include glory boosters. Each player can decide whether to look at the pretty icon or activate it and see the icon in your buff menu!

If implemented, hopefully that would stop the complaints about no match rewards.
