Guardians lacking range ability
My thoughts as well – i had hope for the Staff but it just feels meh and quite weak compared to other classes when it comes to Staff usage and damage
I mean constantly trying to catch up to people to get a hit isnt fun. Guardians also haven’t got that many closing abilities to be able to catch up to kiters
Well Guardians got an immobilize on scepter (which is also a ranged weapon), an immobilize on the Hammer, and at least 2 skills to teleport onto the enemy, plus another skill to pull an enemy to them.
What more do you want? Srsly.

I want the Staff to be useful
The Staff is useful already. A short range AoE attack strong enough to wipe mesmer clones in 2-3 hits, a ranged heal, AoE swiftness, 12 effin’ stacks of AoE might (plus healing) and an impenetrable wall.
Maybe you can argue that the staff does low damage, but you certainly can’t say it isn’t useful. <.<
give them rocket launcher
Use the Staff? The most overpowered Aoe AA in the game? You can hit people through walls, proc burning, and fight any ranged class. Your 2 heals you or can be used as an extremely long ranged skill on a short cd.
