Step 1: Log onto a mesmer.
Step 2: Spec into this build (null field vs necros)
Step 3: Play an unranked game or two to master this playstyle, then jump into ranked & try to get the Forest of Niflhel map.
Step 4: Does enemy team have a mesmer?

  • Yes: instruct your team to focus their mesmer above everything.
  • No: automatically win.

Step 5: Does your team have a Thief and/or Warrior?

  • Yes: Politely ask them to swap to a PvP class.
  • No, but enemy team does: automatically win.
  • Yes, but enemy team does too: see step 4.

Step 6: Sit at mid. Rotate home if necessary. Avoid far as much as possible.

To be fair there are a lot of terrible thieves out there that dance with bunkers for the entire match unable to decap so they essentially are a waste of a team member. Good thieves however can single handedly turn the tides of the game by rotating smartly and +1ing.

Warriors still seem to do quite well, their damage isn’t bad, and the people that still play it tend to be very skilled at playing it well.

But if you end up on a team with two thieves you are at a severe disadvantage to a team with just one or zero thieves. Their job can be done with one good thief just fine.

You must play in a low MMR division I am guessing because you can’t win with this one.

Tbh, you can skip the lower divisions with Chrono Shatter.
No need to play a boring bunker.
+1 home, and getting people to focus fire is that strong.

And if you want to shut down either of those at lower divisions. Run a venom share thief, and then laugh maniacally.
