Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, I’m currently working on an ongoing series to guides to help out newer guild wars 2 players take their first steps into sPvP. Having started out on stomping guides and with only one profession left to do I thought I’d share these videos here in the hope that they’d find their way into the hands of newer pvp’ers.

With that in mind once these stomping videos are done I want to branch into more in depth analysis of spvp from pre-game tips to map rotations, profession mechanics and more. So to start us off here are the links for content so far. ( Earlier videos came out louder apologies )

First off appreciate the positive feedback! Thanks man, and I’d definitely love to discuss ideas for other videos in collab etc. I’ll add you in-game or you can contact me etc. I had some ideas of my own for once these stomping guides were finished but yea. Hit me up! =)

well how about looking for already existing guides? like the one from woddenpotatoe? he covers a lot of that stuff sensotix want to make a video for. but i guess some just need attention.

the outdated part is just minor in his guide, but he covers a lot esp with a newb on hand. any new guide will be outdated soon in the same way. if a person havent the brain to adapt to minor changes to ui then i guess all the work is useless. and even if he havent finished it, it already covers all sensotix wants a guide make for.

i see no point of a new guide, esp not from this person. another fanboy collecting video to back up stupid suggestions and elitsm attitude? no thx.

we have a lot of guides. about roles and rotation too, in text and videoform.

the problem with outdated guides will also hit u. so if u really want to make guides, how about no video and no long wall of text and an implementation of a wiki and some graphical instructions. easy to get updated. but i guess, u dont get the most attention and fanboys out of it, so i guess, what would help the most will not be done.

second of all dont you think making such guides would consume a lot of my time and i dont get anything out of it so please rethink that it makes me sad knowing that people think i do this for fame..if i wanted fame or whatever i would go record wildstar videos or gta 5 i just love this game and i want to support the community
about elitism: i think you mean the “anet is listening to the wrong players thread” the point of this thread was to get anet to talk to the players that participate in esl tournaments, are actively playing pvp on a high lvl etc so they can work on a nice balance with them and not listen to guys that come from pve to pvp and dont understand the concept yet…

can never be enough guides when i see the people every day ingame^^

no not only this thread. all your threads u create. its always the same. some wild suggestions without argumentation why.. then someone is against it and use a logical argumentation without any insults and all u respond is “another pve / wvw noob … blah blah”..
the same other way around. some bob just quote and says “good ideas… blah blah” and u respond “oh another pro player who think the same blah blah…”..

u dont even understand that a community needs different levels of balancing. thats why all ur suggestions are crap, your attitude is bad and your argumentation for any suggestion is not existant. you are one without any logic process behind your suggestions. thats why u cant argument for and only insult argumentation against. all u seek is attention. supporting community looks different.

or i should just make the same stupid threads.. my opinions on balance, my suggestion without argumentation, my vids showing my wins but never my looses and so one. and to back it up i could use my ladderposition blah blah.. that is helping the community? oh and dont forget the insulting of other ideas and suggestions and players. and oh hell i could also ignore all that what devs say like that what allie mentioned pretty early in your thread “anet listen to all and nobody!”. but that hasnt stopped your writing urge. if u really want to help i suggest following points to u:
1. stop insulting players
2. stop thinking the brain or understand of the game is related to some ladderpositions
3. stop evalute suggestions by ladderpositions and gamepart
4. understand how the game and balancing works and different positions and then start find a common point and start merging suggestions into it.
or just do the same like before and dance in circles of suggestions and insults. good work u done so far.

well you know create your guide and do what u always do. insult and seek for praise. or if u really want to help the community. u know there is a wiki where u can actual edit and upload stuff and so one. so its your choice, throw another vid out or some wall of text or something usefull.

@rest. u can create guides as much as u want. the real person u want adress will not be in this forum and will not be using youtube to get to know how to play this game.

thats why woddenpotatoe done more for tpvp as sensotix will be in 10 years. his videos where watched by pve-players.

So there’s always a need for new guides (and/or frequently updated ones).

If someone is willing to put in the time and effort to make new ones, I really don’t see the value in discouraging them.

well if u read guides like u read my post, yeah not needed.

if read further i said the problem of the old guides in the past is the problem of new guides in the future. so i suggest not making a video or wall of text, i suggested using the wiki or create one. so its easier to keep it updated and always on place.

For me personally I plan to make guides regardless of what happens. For the whole elitist thing….I’m going to step away from that whole ordeal, I’m not interested in getting involved. As for WP’s stuff, I’m hoping to cover different material to what he is. Regardless I make videos because I enjoy making videos, and I intend to keep doing what I enjoy! =)

@romek thanks again to you too, what do you mean by video only as in, within the video I make I could include more graphics and explain stuff that way? Or refering to written guides too?

Updated with necromancer video. I plan to start really kicking off solid weekly videos for sPvP have some ideas jot down now that new years etc is over. =)
