2/5 people should not dictate a team’s direction, it should be at least 3/5. kittenty position and ANet should do something to take these things into considerations. For example: giving the 3 members who were kicked the opportunity to take over that seed or seed into the Challenger Cup; not allowing any of them to play; or if the the team that kicked the 3 other members do make it and get that automatic cash prize for making it then it should be split among those who got to the challenger cup and those who made it into Pro Leagues.

It should definitely be a majority vote – at least 3 Original members to a Team in order for that team to keep their positions in the League. That said, it gets a bit technical when 1 member out of 3 decides to leave.

As for the rights to the team name, well, these players created it in ESL so there shouldn’t be an issue with ownership, correct?

kitten the dream was must’ve been real enough for them to drop 60 PERCENT of their team without notifying them. I seriously logged on and was notified by a fellow member who was dropped from the roster, not even by the duo who decided to take control of the group who so called had “equal” rank within the team. No designated leader but apparently 2>3 so kitten me right? work a season to only be dropped without the courtesy of being notified lmao.

the issue is that no one left the team. the 2 members dropped 3 members without communicating to them. they dropped the ranks of the 3 members in the guild since we all shared the same rank. no one left. they took over the team without even talking to the other team members

2 does not make a team, if the other 2 do not want to play with the original other 3 then they should just have to leave the tournament.

What the kitten…. Put in a support ticket and say that 3 of your team just got troll kicked off of the team you created.

That is seriously messed up. There should be rules to prevent this from happening. Like many others said, only the majority of the team should make roster decisions. Hopefully Anet will review this as a special case since is a pvp challenger team- even though they said they wouldn’t be involved in guild affairs

I dont’t believe that is fair and that just shows poor loyalty of the 2 members that kicked the other 3. How is it right that 2 members kick the majority of the team without notification or even talking to them before hand. Unless the other three are fine with going back and continuing in the challenger cup, I think the 2 members that took over the guild shouldn’t be able to compete in the challenger cup. Its true that team rosters change all the time, but kicking 60% of the team at once without any talking or notification is just poor sportsmanship and loyalty as well as a poor reflection on the guild wars 2 pvp community.

So majority vote plays a huge role when it comes to kicking someone out of a party when doing a dungeon or fractal….but it only takes 2 people to kick 3 people off a PvP team!?!?! Where is the logic in that?

A team troll kicking 3 off without notice shouldn’t be able to compete, it isn’t the same team anymore and shows some pretty kitten sportsmanship.

easy fix.. just make it so you need 3 members of the original roster from season to compete.. just like in Pro Leagues

Yeah, 2 of 5 is really dumb. It should be 3 of 5 if they want a place in the tournament. Fix it ANET.

The best way to solve the issue is that if a guild split and one side has 2 players and one side has 3 players, the 3 should get the spot.

Alright. This is my third pos on this forum in my 3 years of playing. First post was a troll second post was a kitten post about HoT pricing but whatever. To the eDrama issue since I feel like this worth some time to type a paragraph over.

Actually kitten a paragraph, just evoke those 2 dudes challenger or whatever league rights, give the rights to the 3 original members who got kick, they can find 2 replacement and practice b4 the thingy. Easy.

That sucks. It should surely be majority of the team making decisions. Hope you guys can sort this out somehow with ESL.

I don’t care about the money, a simple heads up or a talk about the situation woulda been nice. I don’t know about casp and sivvy but I got completely blind sided by it. One second they’re texting me to hurry home for scrims then the next night I get dropped with no notification. Not just me but 2 others on the team. No txt, no message, no guild message of the day, no carrier pigeon, no smoke signals, no hint that we were gonna get dropped. I found out through a fellow member who got dropped. Man at least give me the courtesy of telling me yourself if you want to drop me.

I don’t think any of the players need naming. I don’t think any of them even realize the scenario that they got pulled into, and I’m sure they don’t like the situation thats for sure. We made a support ticket that were waiting for reply on, but I’m gonna cross post shortly. Grouch must save the day

regardless of who created the guild. were we not equals on the team? when i joined we discussed that there was no leader.. guess that was a huge mistake. were we notified of the kicks? did we talk about the situation before you guys took on new players? you had ways to contact caspian and I. 3 members were dropped by two of equal rank with no notification or any type of vote. I had to find out through a member who was kicked. a simple text to get on ts to talk woulda worked for me

Disregarding guild in-game intricacies amongst players, the most important aspect is rank position in the cup. Call it principles all you want but Anet doesn’t fancy soap opra much and the forum is already filled with enough player vs player drama.

Curious if Anet will say Yay or Nay for yall’s 3man-kicked team’s cup standings. Your team name is likely lost though.

All 3 of us have sent emails, just not a reply yet. I’m sure it will get looked over soon, but the hopes of this post was that it actually would just get looked at and not forgotten about. I understand your point though.
