No wonder outsider spectators hate watching GW2 pvp. Even I don’t know what the hell is going on sometimes with as much lights and fire everywhere. Off topic, sorry.

zoom out

actually res your teammates instead of spamming a target (this one is situational, but in this video you let your teammate die when it was an easy res)

cleave your enemies to secure deaths (you don’t really have a secure stomp besides toss elixir and flamethrower blind with that build) it also doesn’t help you just tunnel visioned and tried to take someone else down when the downed body was getting res’d

you only need 1 person to secure a point, if your teammate isn’t moving, move

Solid gameplay all in all, there are things to improve, but it was nice in overall. Seems like you have a good understanding about how PvP works, so now keep practicing and improving :p

BTW, you could use your elite skill a little bit more

Should have rotated to far the moment the Guardian dropped at 8:00. Your thief was dead so you needed to rotate immediately instead of staying in mid.

In one scenario you were trying to apply aoe damages while your downed ally was being rezed. You had full health and you’re cele… you should have expedited the rez process by helping instead of trying to apply aoe damages. Your alliez woupdn’t have received so much damages. If you had half health and you were zerks then yea, I would have done aoe damages too but you’re not.

Those were the obvious errors. If you posted the vids where you got downed I could help you further.

Just becareful when you engage with Flame Thrower or any other 300 radius attack. You’re not going to out damage a Guardian, Warrior or out burst a Mesmer. So don’t enter a heavily aoe damaging fight thinking you’re going to do just that.

That said, you kited well for the most part.

OP – You just got some great feedback from veteran engies.

Rez your teammates if it’s safe to do so and in your case, it was.

I know some ppl are not inclined to do so because they are running with PUGS but you need to realize the disadvantages you have when outnumbered due to teammates at spawn.

The best pug teams from queuing solo behave similarly to premades in that they understand the importance of keeping each other alive and they respond fast to contested points while being map aware the entire time.

first advice :change build
drop suply crate when there is big team fight
dont cap point when someone from ur team is caping it allready -this is like basic huge mistake u made
when u where low against ranger u used eliksir b first instead of h
u use skills with no reason a lot
practice a lot ….

Drop Elixir U for Elixir S. You’ve got 2 reflects already and the quickness isn’t helping you nearly as much as another utility could.

Use your supply crate more often. It’s not helping you much if you only use it once a match. If you’re losing a fight and using it could change that, go ahead and use it.

Don’t just drop napalm randomly. You’re not even comboing projectiles through it. Save it for cleaving enemies that are downed, ressing, or being immob’d/cc’d by your team.

Remember that your shield 5 is a block that stuns melee attackers. You don’t have to cut it short every time for the throw. At one point you were getting chased and mauled by a gs ranger while it was up and didn’t use it at all. Similarly, you don’t always have to cut short your shield 4 for the knockback. If you’re under significant ranged pressure from projectiles, you’ll want to reflect as many of those as you can.

Don’t try to stomp mesmers normally unless you know their #2 is on cooldown. If you want you can begin a stomp, wait around a second and a half, cancel it and quickly begin a new stomp. This is a gamble though, as they may end up out of the range of your stomp, or be expecting you to cancel stomp. The safer option is usually just to cleave them out. Napalm is great for this. If you don’t have the health to go through with either you can temporarily break line of sight and heal up a little.

Don’t double cap points. The only time you should be on an uncontested node with a teammate capping is when you expect a stealth gank. If you’ve got a second point already and don’t plan on pushing for a third, you can either position yourself between the two points and watch both, then move to assist whichever one comes under attack first, or you can move to a point where you can watch the enemy respawn point to make reacting to their movements easier.

There was one point at the midfight where your team had an enemy downed and was struggling/unable to finish him, but you kept on attack a tanky necro to little effect instead of cleaving/stomping the downed, who got ressed. Don’t do that. Securing a kill is of the highest importance in a teamfight-- if you see an enemy downed and you don’t think you’re able to take another target down in the next couple seconds, you need to switch focus to the enemy that is downed and do everything in your power to make sure he fully dies.

Also quit interrupting your kitten heal.

Here is the few things i noticed:

From what i could see i think you’re running both Juggernaut and HGH, with HGH i would reccomend taking elixir X over the supply crate (aoe moa can be more useful than the med packs)
switch into FT before going in for a stomp, juggernaut gives you perma-stab (1 stack) so will allow you a far higher chance of getting your stomps in

FT2 I don’t think i saw you once explode this, the damage output from the explosion is 3x the napalm balls damage so you should be exploding it before you switch out of FT

As someone above mentioned elixir s would likely be a better choice over elixir u as an extra evade, with the advantage of the aoe stealth which can allow for easier ressing of teammates (or even just preventing stomps)

as someone above mentioned, never stay double capping unless expecting an ambush (such as at home at the start, but even then once its half-capped start leaving if no ones around). you’re playing a fairly high mobility build so leave someone more bunk like to cap the point whilst you get to the next fight as quickly as you can.

I would need more details about your build to add more, but there’s potentially a few tweaks that could be made to improve things, oh and if you want to keep supply crate as your elite then use it in any/all team fights you can, its not worth saving and if you use it semi-early in a teamfight the mass stun & effects may allow for turning the tide of the fight a lot earlier on, which is always a good thing

Thank you for the feedback, guys.
Has been only two weeks i am playing engineer and i am still on build trial process. Everytime i try to use my elite i just die miserably, so i am not using it on any video or even to help my teammates.
I know i have a lot to learn about it yet, but i am trying my best. It doesn’t always end with a “happy ending”.
