Guild Wars 2 Ranking System
Also why is there a ladder system for some random arena anyway?
Basing the ranking system on players makes no point at all since you play as a team.
Even if you are on a ladder no one will recognize your team or think of you as being a famous player.
If i compare this system to the old of guild wars 1

I wonder what has been gone wrong :/
I wonder at the rankings too. I just lost 3 tpvp matches and went up 100 ranks. I was wondering if there are very few people playing tpvp so almost everyone is top 1000…..

That is because of the way decay works. If you don’t play for a while your rating will drop. However, as soon as you play one game you will gain all that rating back. So someone who has been gone for a month or whatever will gain 1000 ranks even if they lose.
the ladder system in gw2 is rly a bad joke.If u win a couple of games after the reset u get in top 100 just like. and dont even make me start talking what i think about solo que. not only the ladder system, but the way u come together with other ppl in soloque is just beyond stupidity. even wow started the solo ladder system, just because every little 14 years old kid is playing Leage of Legends. just plz guys, make solo que NOT rated and make a ladder system for guilds, like when u que teamque as guildteam u get points or lose points. that would be way better. greetings deni

Yes that’s not correct. If you look at the guy with 33 wins and 20 losses (62%) and the guy with 10 wins and 1 loss (91%) and multiplie that by 5x (as the other guy has played 5x more matches) he would have 50 wins and 5 losses (90%) and that is clearly better stats than his mere 62%
