Is there a way to use PvP builds in the arena or Anet seriously created a PvP zone for PvE/WvW players? GH officially useless for PvP guilds?

Edit: my solution would be to add an option for officers that allows them to toggle on/off “PvP mode” which makes the GH use PvP gear.

Umm…there’s nothing PvE about the guild arena.

I’m guessing you’re complaining about the halls using WvW settings instead of sPvP settings, but that’s still PvP.

And they’re far from useless to a PvP guild. Even if you only do sPvP, you can still easily get a set of WvW gear for the guild arena.

Simply make your pvp build your pve build and bam! arena is useful. Or are you one of those who went to the mysts and hasn’t actually leveled/stepped out of it?

Guild Halls are for those who play the entire game, not a single segment of it. Even wvwvw players have had to do PvE to get certain things. Just as PvErs need to enter wvwvw to get certain things.

If you never leave the mysts for spvp, you honestly don’t need a Guild Hall.

5) Why should a dedicated PvP guild EVER own a GH? You can’t que from outside HotM, and you can’t even properly use the arena. Just another place to afk in.
6) People with various gear tiers just make this worse.

So what’s your point? Get rid of GH Arenas because it takes time and effort to gear up for them, and you dont feel like it? Its not a competitive arena, why are you kittening about the playing field?

I sPvP 80% of my online time in the game, but your argument is basically “I’m too lazy, so make it like I want it.”

Getting exotic gear is a joke in this game, I had a friend recently start a new account and within 2 weeks not only was he a full lvl 80, but he is fully geared with exotics.

Sell the mats you salvaged from sPVP, buy gear, go into the GH and enjoy yourself with your guild. Or dont and stay in sPVP.

While playing spvp, doing reward tracks, you get free armor and gold (a lot more than playing wvw as a scout/upgrader) you can just buy exotic trinkets and you still didn’t play any pve.

Certain Amulet combos are not in spvp while they are achievable in pve (Dire?), the other direction is interesting, you can mix gear to achieve if not the same, then similar numbers, so that shouldn’t be a big problem.

But you can’t get a GH without pve (players in your guild), as you have to get the GH while doing PvE, so dunno who thought that GHs are not PvE.

Yee because exotics mean a thing if everyone else wears ascended.
Also you have to switch gear and sigils depending on the enemyteamcomp.

GW1 Players are waiting for the feature since release,

yew guild arenas its not usefull in pvp its just for fun , maybe they dont want to loose that u can buy a custom arena

It should use pvp settings. Kinda useless if it doesn’t.

I know it’s useful for WvW players in its current state, I’m talking about making it useful for both Pvp and WvW. I never said anything about PvP team practice, I’m talking about guild PvP events, 1v1 cups, 3 team brawls (recreating old GW1 HoH), etc. The guild arena has so much potential and excluding PvP guilds from PvP arena is weird.

Personally I’ve always thought that WvW should use the PvP gearing/spec system with the amulets and no food and whatnot myself.

Maybe if we are vocally enough, ArenaNet might include the option to active the pvp-ruleset.
