Hi Arena net,

Out of my friends that play GW2, Only 2 enjoy PvP, So i thought great, let’s all PvP together, so we went to join an 8v8 together and were having difficulties, Then after looking for a couple of minutes we found out you can’t actually join as a group.

We then decided to try 5v5 sPvP because we could actually be on the same team this way, however after finally fining a team of 5 people, We couldn’t enjoy it because after losing to organised teams in the first round, our groups kept disbanding. It is too much hassle having to find random players and get them all on the same 3rd party team speak system just so you can PvP with your friends.

All i ask is for you to add a 2v2 or 3v3 “fun” deathmatch arena system. I don’t care if there is no ranking/rating system. I don’t care if i get absolutely no rewards from it.

All i want is a SIMPLE and fun way to play with my 2 other GW2 friends. At the moment all pvp is for me is grinding ranks, I am rank 12 and i really don’t see any reason to PvP anymore, it isn’t fun when i am not playing with friends.

I do hope they establish a quality matchmaking system for TPvP. Currently, I also try to queue with a buddy in tourney play only to get demolished by guild pre-mades. I’m sure it’s in the works (or at least one would hope).

I don’t find it hard to play with friends. It’s fairly easy to join them in a pvp battle.

I do however lack the option of creating a custom match, with my friends, just for the giggles. I don’t need a reward. Fun is the incentive. As ArenaNet also proudly states everything is! So let us have fun!

Will you be adding the option to create private rooms for a group of friends to play together without having random players entering the game?
Sometimes we just want to hang out and play together and also practice spvp and discuss tactics while playing to improve our skills. Don’t really care if the private room doesn’t give rank points.
What’s important is being able to play with/against friends without outside interference. =|

While I personally think it’s great fun to play not only with, but against my guildmates, friends, and family… I can see the why others would only like to play the cooperative role rather then a competitive one as well.

wierd… i play with 3 play with group of 3 and we can win tournaments… even when we face teams, but we are rank 20-30 so i guess we just know how to play better than you guys

You don’t need a full rooster to do tournaments. If you want to play with 1,2,3… friends you can only invite these and start the tournament… the missing slots will be filled with other players who also started the tournament without a full group (you can even start tournaments when solo).
Of course it can get hard fighting versus premade teams if you aren’t. But this solves the problem of having to recrout new teammates.

I play the game with my GF and we sPvP a lot. open or tourny doesnt matter. If we enter tourny matches on the same sever togehter we simply have a blast and it doesnt matter if we are on the same team.

I see a whole lot of u here complaining that you want to play with your fWiends and at the same time complain about premade pvp elitezz , you do know that allowing people to get into matches with friends is a perfect system for premades ? Next to that you and your friends become one.

If you want a demo of how such a system will work against you from day 1 then go pvp in rift. It allows 3 people to enter a match yet premades already found a way to use that to get their entire group in,have fun with that.

Anet did indeed make the right call. Given time im sure there will be more viable options added.
