Yo kpop, I don’t think it will work because Might stacking doesn’t effect a lot on dps (according on my long term testing), it only makes condition dmgs big difference. So, as a warrior, we all know that we only got bleeding, which is useless. If you are trying HGH, you should use Long bow because the burning got the most affect by getting more condition dmg.
It’s funny how threads that qq about the poor state of warrior get hundreds of answers, while threads offering new ideas remain unanswered.
Please nerf this beast.
I am brainstorming. I think a sidepoint defender is in the mix here. The bleeds and confusion will be the main source of damage. Like HGH, condi is the damage. Side point ranger relies on bleeds so I think it is alright from that POV. The might stack should hover around at least 10, even without mights on critical. Maybe I could lower precision and gain another stat? Still tinkering around with this.
I think a team fight variant would use a rifle in place of the sword mace, since toughness is low in hgh.

Bro, long bow in place of sword mace set could potentially work. I just worry about adrenaline gaining at that point and prolly need to change for burst cost less.
I’ve played with this build. It’s fun but the condition damage from main hand sword is actually underwhelming, despite flurry. Even if you do get the full channel off, the condi damage from just flurry is not a lot. Very easily cleansable.
The other downside that all Warriors face, and not just this build, is condi removal. With the signet, you get a full cleanse every 36 seconds. Between cooldowns you are completely vulnerable to condis.
Before the quickness nerf, the lack of condi removal for warriors was balanced out by their cleave speed; warriors could burst down opponents faster than the opponents’ conditions could kill the warrior. So, warriors lacked condi removal but they could unload their burst and do their job successfully in spite of that.
I’ll give it a try, especially because stun juggling is fun, but I agree with Zone on both points here. There’s not a lot of condi damage here, no poison, and bleeds are easily cleared. I also worry about the lack of condi clears.
However, I do think “HGH warrior” has some merit. I’ve just found it works better as power based with a side of condi damage, not the other way around.
Also isn’t sigil of battle still bugged to not work with crit effects? Do you know if the sigil combos you posted work as intended?

I created a condi variant of this build as posted above and a power variant which still stacks might but does not rely on conditions.
In back point scenario, you must compare yourself to back point defenders currently. Mesmer and ranger. The mesmer has no condi clear but brings team utility. Ranger has limited non user controlled condi clear. I think it is on par in that department.
@zone the suggestion of longbow was noted here and it needs to be tested. fire and confusion is a strong combo and the field would cover the entire point.
I will play with this some more and come out with an updated version in a week probably. Just wanted to get more minds in on the action.
@Brigg, this is the same sigil combo on the pistol pistol engi. I believe that both sigils should work. The might on crit sigil has no icd so the battle should not be affected by it.

just wanted to clarify this. the Sigil of Strength if procced before a weapon swap will cancel the sigil of battle. p/p sigils are Battle + Minor Corruption. Additionally the sigils carry over to the Kits since there is no way to slot sigils on kits. So to fully reproduce this on a character other than Engi/Ele you’ll want the same sigils on both weapon sets.
My suggestion: keep the Battles and lose the Sigils of Might.

Battle and corruption together. It appears icd on strength is like 2secs. if it procs and you try and swap for battle, it does not work. So I decided battle and corruption on mace/shield set, strength on sword/x on mace.

It was called the Might Stacking Warrior and the HGH Engineer was based off of it after HGH was buffed a while back…
The ‘30% chance for might on crit’….
You have to hit 18 times at 60% crit chance in the time you have the weapon out to make it worth one, half duration, sigil of battle…
It’s rarely ever, RARELY EVER, worth even considering.
At best if you land a full flurry somewhat consistently, it could be worthwhile, but flurry… with people being able to turn while imobilized, its lost allot of its worth… people will just turn around and typically give as good if not better than they take since the bleeds are not only not that strong, but they are also cleansable… and flurry does pretty mediocre physical dmg….

Spam signet of rage and for great justice whenever its up, change weapons every 5 secs for a constant 23 might stack duration. You only have a 5 second window to spam your weapon skills so think quick. Shoot your combustion shot for the last 1 second and then weapon swap into savage leap and shield bash. Gives out fire auras that will allow for 25 stacks of might, and you should have enough adrenaline to use your flurry after. Rinse and repeat. Though you once you get focused, you’ll die, thus is the fate for warriors in pvp, neat build though on paper.

there’s no way to speed up the CD on battle unfortunately. having one on each set though does guarantee those 3 stacks of might whenever it’s off CD. It’s far more reliable than Strength, which is more likely to cost you might stacks by putting battle on CD again before a swap. Battle is just easier to control and more reliable. Not to mention the might lasts longer. Since you’re already using Versatile Power you’re ahead of the curve anyways on weapon-swap-might-stacking.
Try not to think of Fast Hands as a means to stack might faster. That’s merely your means to “out working” your opponent the way an HGH condi engi does. He doesn’t stack might any faster with battle for having low CDs on kit swap. It’s just easier to reliably stack that way as well as keeping his skills available to reapply important conditions.

I was just letting you know. The engi gets might on those elixers though, which I guess our equivalent is the might on weapon swap. Just wish boon duration and defense line were tied together.
The trait trees are really odd for warrior i found, like for strength that has condition duration, only one trait takes advantage from it (Distracting Shots). They don’t even pair that trait line with a condition weapon, say the longbow, its stuck all the way into tactics. The great fortitude trait should prob be in the tatics line aswell. I feel that warrior traits lines and traits need some readjusting into different categories to make the class viable again.

The point was, there are better sigils since the might on crit one is utterly terrible on the mace/shield weapon set.
Geomancy, fire, 5% dmg, exc.
Just wanna mention a thing, if you have the fast hand trait, and you put swap sigil such as battle, energy on both weapons set, it’s really meaningless.
It’s a very interesting idea anyways… I might try it, and I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve run it myself or seen some gameplay videos of it, but on the whole it feels like every other warrior build out there… somebody else can just do it better.
