Hacking in spvp
But there is no point like “hacking” or “exploiting”.
The question is absolutly justified.
Sorry for bringing this up again. I saw another person using a speed hack yesterday- I usually run with constant swiftness and somehow they were moving faster than me, and evasion/movement abilities were sending them up walls/rocks (no it was not a mesmer/thief). I tried to report them like suggested above but there is no “hacking” option. Also in red text it says something like “if you report people that are not doing anything wrong your account will be banned”, so I didn’t want to report them for “botting” since they clearly were not doing that.
I even sent a message last time to customer support asking “Is there any way to report players that are using hacks/cheats in spvp?” and the reply I got was:
“Thank you for reporting a potential rules violation.
We will use the information you have provided to investigate whether a violation of the rules has occurred. Please let us know if you have any additional problems or questions."
I really do not know what to do, does anyone know how to really report suspected hacking?
be careful too, you dont want to report someone who is’nt actully hacking,
an engineer with Slick Shoes for example can move at +50%,
much faster than swiftness.
i’ve still not seen a hacker which is why i’m concerned that you’ve “seen” 2

Have a few giggles:
Hilarious, right? WRONG!! And I didnt put in the videos you can find on youtube ADVERTISING hacks, cause that would be a bannable offense and free publicity of something i despise.

It wasn’t an engineer either and I have played over 2000 pvp games, so seeing two; one that definately was a hacker and he even boasted about it in chat, is not that unusual imo. Also I am pretty certain I have seen others but it is only now when I know most of the game that I am confident enough to raise a flag.
However, I don’t know the correct avenue to raise a flag and apparantly no one else does either. Like I said even when I directly asked customer support the reply I got told be nothing.
Surely someone has to know how to report it, right?
You know, there maybe combos and game mechanics you may not be aware of. so make 100% sure before reporting anyone.
I got bottom buff in TotSS and had a guy accused me of “Exploiting” / “Hacking” xD for capping all 3 points at once.
“Maybe I was the illusion all along!”

So how do you report someone?

Hello Yasha.
Yes, it´s true that there´s no hacking/cheating tab in the in-game reporting tools and I will forward this again to the team. For the moment you can select the botting tab without any problem, you will not be banned for reporting correctly a hacker with that option. If you are not really sure you can use another way of reporting: you can take a screenshot with the name of the suspect and then send us a little report with that screenshot (or even videos, should you have some) to the following email address: exploits@arena.net (works also for hacks and episodes of cheating).
Thanks for all your reports!
