This bothers me a lot, enough so that I logged in to comment for once, I have 31 hours worth sitting in my bank that I was planning to use in the higher levels, now all the work of getting these and spending some money on them are going to be gone with nothing coming back to me as a PAYING customer.

No, the glory boosters will not be replaced, but they will be removed. The new rewards system is going to be awesome, so it should balance out. I realize that’s less than ideal, but it had to be done.

The glory booster should definitely be replaced in some form. Whether the new rewards system is awesome or not is irrelevant to the fact that people have paid money for an item that is being arbitrarily removed without proper compensation. That is neither ethical nor honest. Why would you expect the player base to accept this?

Glory points can be spent swiftly without any going to waste, no problem, but Glory boosters have a duration of 1 hour, so to efficiently spend them all, you are going to need to have enough time at your disposal to pvp with them and not let any go to waste (eg. 2 stacks of boosters, you will at least need 500 hours to not let any go to waste). May I also remind that many of these boosters are also bought with money? Some may have just bought a bit too much to reasonably spend them all by March 18th. Glory boosters should be compensated for patch coming on the 18th of March.

For what? I crafted everything I can at my relatively low rank, still have massive excess mats.

I am not a higher rank because I was mainly playing turney games in the past and not hotjoin.

Sorry I prefer doing the autistic living story farming in LA zergs. Rends more gold per time than combining/slavaging the mats for dyes.

It seems like Anet has said all it is going to say about this mess – very unfortunate if that is the case.

I agree with your sentiment. Nobody likes the feeling of being ripped off and there is really no other way to see this than many players being ripped off – pay money to get something and have that something taken away for no valid reason – inexcusable.

Ok PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS!:

I have been PAYING CASH for gems ONCE a month (because I like to support the game)

This that PAYED CASH I bough keys for Black Lion Chests

That PAYED CASH USED on keys returned me arround 200+ Glory Boosters

NOW YOU TELL ME THAT THAT ‘PAYED CASH’ or that PAYED GEMS, or that PAYED GEMS TRANSFORMED IN KEYS USED IN CHESTS THAT RETURNED X ITEMS and some of that items are Glory Boosters that will just DISAPPEAR?

SO… My cash, that you got for my ‘support’ to the game, will be returned to me on LESS ITEMS ?

In what world is that even possible?

If you reply to this thread, I kindly ask you to be constructive and use non-inflammatory language (which includes no caps, which believe it or not is against forum policy).

It’s a business problem which requires a business solution.

While I agree that cash shop items shouldn’t be removed without compensation, I have a counter to that argument. I have gone through hundreds of glory boosters from win chests. I don’t want to be compensated for those. I also don’t want to get any glory boosters right now though when I buy Black Lion Keys. It’s infuriating to get them when they are so abundant in PvP win chests. All the people saying they need to get compensated for the glory boosters they got out of BLTC Chests is one thing. I get that, but if you play PvP at all, you have TONS of them for free and weren’t buying BLTC chests for the glory boosters.
