I was feeling really good. My win rate was above 50% on a core Mesmer build with some matches as close as 499-501. This last patch really evened the matches a lot.

The last time my win rate rose above 50% this season I was “rewarded” with 8 straight stompings.

The past two matches have been heavy stompings. I want my chance to have some of those wonderful win streaks other players got to enjoy in s1-s4. That way I can flip my hair and say “learn to play,” like a real pro.

Seriously though.. now I need to take some days off ranked and find a good peak hour when I feel lucky again to get back in the swing. That way my fellow players won’t mock me for having a low win percentage.

Why are you comparing S6 to S1-4. The matchmaking is totally different in these seasons you can’t expect 20 win streaks in S6 unless you’re a plat/legend placed in bronze and you’re duoing with another plat/legend placed in bronze.

Since you played in S5 you’re already around your ‘established rating’ so 50-50 is normal. I’m seeing 50% win rates here what’s wrong?

Ok, I know this has been said by many people, it the matchmaking does not ‘give’ you losses. With enough skill, I would say that maybe only 10% of games are totally unwinnable with any amount of skill (look at the win rate of sindrener and misha and you will see what I mean).

My advice to you, OP would be to stop being scared to play because you might lose and most importantly of all, do NOT blame the matchmaking for your loss streaks. You will never improve if you do that. Just focus on learning what you can from your losses and try to carry your team as hard as you can. The matchmaking most definitely does not force you into a 50% win rate. Over 250 games this season mostly at prime time and I have twice as many wins as losses.

So yeah, sometimes it is the matchmaking. But the vast majority of the time, you could have won every game if you played it better. Maybe you are where you belong in divisions.

Still, I’ve been roundly criticized for not having “at least” a 50% win rate. so, at this point, I feel bad when I drop below that. Perhaps others do to and that helps explain the low population? I guess that’s what the post was really trying to point out.

I do take pride in getting there with a non-HoT build. The core Mesmer feels more like a Mesmer to me. so, I choose to play that way.

( I would also point out that in previous seasons I struggled to stay in the 30% win rate range.. so yes, I have improved. )

yor rong its the pve playas keeping me down losing all games instadiing and acheevment hunting. i play lyk top 10 playa used to see esl playas in all games now i get rubbish playas keeping me down and no more esls.

I’ve learned to back off immediately when a losing streak begins. This works but it means one less player in ranked for a day or two. Anyone else do similar?

I would have thought the unusual departure from my generally good grammar and spelling was enough to show the sarcasm. I just hope autocorrect on my tablet isn’t FUBAR now.
