i agree its terrible. my MMR went down a ton. If Anet is trying to make this game an eSport they are going in the wrong direction.

I don’t give a skritt about matchmaking, so I’m happy about the 2 minutes queue times, down from the 45 minutes I was getting a year ago.

How exactly do you know your mmr went down a “ton” and how is that not a playerskill issue….. in multiple ways… maybe your mmr was inflated with the old system and the new one rectified it.

No way of practicing?

There are still custom arenas where teams can practice. So that isn’t really a valid criticism. You can always organize scrimmages with other teams. The NA teams were doing that in the old system.

That being said I am not a fan of running into premades as a long time lone wolf.

Ask your allies to scrim you and grow as a team together, that was the standard training method NA did, leading up to the WTS. Queuing Team Queue has never been what a team needed in order to beat the #1 seeded team.

Even if the rate of top players finding other top players has nosedived with the patch, it doesn’t mean game over.

EU has always had more depth than NA though. In the old solo queue on eu you would find hundreds of players at the same level as the top team players. Or very close to that level.

When those people team queued you could get some good competition too.

Obviously EU is more like NA in recent times as the EU community has declined. But setting up “scrims” is really not an alternative to a functioning team queue with competition and fun.

Solo queue let players prove themselves. Team queue let them practice in pugs to find others to play with. Now all that is gone. There is no way of team queueing with people to try them out anymore because there is nothing but farming matches. There is no way for individuals to prove they are the BEST individuals in the game in solo queue.

There is nothing. The game went back 2.5 years.

This system gives me fun surprises all the time! In the form of random q pops…
I can finally solo q without worry of fighting other solo q players!! I get to fight real teams!

On another note, how can no team beat CM? Last I checked they were pretty meh..

nobody in EU knows how to play on 3 points and rotate with a cele comp lol

It’s not that EU doesn’t know how to rotate, CM’s strategy is that everyone on their team multi classes and every game they just counter spec the opposition… DPS Guard vs Thief Mesmer is a terrible matchup. To answer OP yeah this freaking sucks man, every game I get PvErs on my team and the opposition, one of my matches today everyone was actually below tiger rank and I stomped this one guy and they were all like “wtf why is there a dragon rank in this game”. It’s not even cuz my MMR is low man my WR soloQing in unranked is pretty solid.

Although I only had this game for 3 months I think its miserable compared to when I started. Solo Q was decent, not all the time but you would improve as a player because good players would actually solo Q and now they only play with their Esports team.

Team Q is meh. Team Q is basically a farm Q. Farming solo Q’ers and new players as a premade because matchmaking is broken.

Leaderboard is meaningless. Time played matters more than skill.

And cele ammy is really taking the fun out of the game. So hard to kill and deals so much damage. It feels like even a below average player can be succeful playing a cele build.

Anyway the devs said they read the forums right? If they arent dumb they should make some changes if they dont want their super esport game to die.
