Today I played 2 matches of PvP UNRANKED. Lost 1, won 1. The thing is, first match I played with a friend that had bought the game but only played for around 70 hours. We got 3 freebies (no elite spec or skins, anything really) and lost, since none of them had any idea of what to do in stronghold. I queued for the next one alone and this time around the enemy team got 3 freebies. We won cleanly. Both games were an absolute stomp. The first one I understand that when playing with my friend I would get matched up against new players, but on the second match where I queued alone, the enemy team got freebies. I have more than 1,6k hours in the game and quite a lot of them in PvP. I don’t think I should get matched with freebies when playing on my main class ele, with which I have like 150+ hours into PvP. It hurts them and it hurts me, since I can literally faceroll against them, while they don’t learn anything. I know this is unranked, but has matchmaking always been this bad or did I just get unlucky? One final note, I haven’t played much since HoT dropped, the balance is horrendous.

No, I wasn’t questioning 50% win/lose. Aren’t I suppose to be matched with players of equal time, skill put in the game, not new players?

I dont think the time played is calculated for matchmaking. Maybe your mmr isnt that high and you in the same pool as those freebies.

Here we have the “problem”. If you stop playing for a while, your rating drops and you get matched with bad ppl. Also, rank and unrank mm rating is not the same.
