Hello!

I bought this game a few days ago and I’ve been toying around with different characters. As late as twenty minutes ago, I decided to try PvP out and I’m still a tad bit confused…

I understand the fact that everyone gets boosted to max level, but I am a bit curious on how the gear system works.

This is how I understand it:
When you play PvP, you get glory and gain ranks. The GLORY is then currency for purchasing things unlocked by gaining RANK. Is this correct? Also: is the gear you unlock purely cosmetic or do you actually upgrade your PvP gear as you go along?

One last question is if I get to bring any PvP-gear earned into the PvE-world once I hit 80..?

Yep, glory buys pvp gear, and you can get newer (and generally cooler) gear every 10 ranks. The gear is purely cosmetic, so new players are on even ground gear-wise.

You cannot bring PvP gear into PvE, but there are some pvp rewards that can be used to earn money for PvE, though it’s not really time-efficient. PvP reward chests can give you unidentified dyes, which can be sold, and paid tournaments can reward gems.

The gear is cosmetic so that all players are on even standing.

You can’t take it to the PvE world (yet).

Gear is configured mostly using runes and sigils which are free on the vendors in the mists.
