HoT Pvp league question
you see, the funny thing about leagues is that we know close to nothing.
we know there are divisions with pips, we know there are rewards from advancing and some kind of tokens we can buy items from a shop. that’s it.
we don’t know when they come, what kind of rewards we get, how matchmaking will work, how parties will work, etc etc.
maybe today we get countdown to hot: pvp leagues

Anet still hasn’t commented on the most salient question of Leagues. We don’t know if there will be a solo only solo queue. I feel part of the reason for their silence is because they’re still determining if they want to have it or not. Basing the decision off how successful sPvP becomes after HoTs release.

i would be fine with a 1-2 man queue and a full team queue. basically what many games with leagues already offer.

From what i gathered, there will be 2 leagues in HoT (normal league and guild team leagues).
My question is how the matchmaking for normal (non guild team) leagues will work? I assume you can solo queue into it but will most probably face off against semi or full premades at the higher divisions.
Any ideas?
If you join with 3+ people with the same tag it will be a unique mmr for you and for your guild mates.
Other things won’t change, indeed there will be always be a chance to meet premades or semi-premades if you go solo, like now.
The reason why they haven’t commented on league is because contrary to popular believe, they don’t start with HOT. They start at some point in the next few weeks once “balance” has settle down.
From Arena net’s POV there is no point talking about post HOT content.
