HoT has doomed us all!
plus a hammer -_-

That could just be a weapon specific skill. Like….. locust swarm…. PLEASE
Am I good?… I’m good.
engi with flying turret and stun lock chain from hammer… oh man
[Teef] guild :>
TBH I think theyl stay seperate from turrets. I imagine thely be untargetable support drones. One may slow, Another may damage, A third may periodically strip boons…etc..etc..
So theyl be more mobile. But probably less persistent acting instead to make the engineer himself a power node in the team formation. Which would fit a melee engineer very well.
LOL, you were asking your Turrets couldn’t move? But now we make it fly instead.
Flying Thumper Turret, oh yea……………..
Im thinking the flying turrets could actually be a mechanic that replaces toolbelt whenever you choose that specialization. It could probably be f1-f4 where with 4 specialized turrets that do different things.
If not, flying turrets will be glorious still!
omg pls nerf already!
When I told the Engi in my guild that he would be able to use a hammer and have flying turrets there was silence……then to my horror…..the most maniacal, hysterical laughing ever….it was like the moment a comic book character looses their mind and becomes a villain….I fear for us.
All I ever wanted is ability to fly!
I WANT WINGS! I BELIEVE I CAN FLY…
Wouldn’t be surprised if its a summon elite like the human racial one with the hounds.
No more thief in-and-out tricks
Lol, the expansion isn’t out and people are already complaining. Seriously those flying drones could be one shottable for all you know.
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.
That could just be a weapon specific skill.
That’s even worse imo because then they don’t have to sacrifice any turrets to gain more AI :P A new era of passive play is coming.
Let’s get the hype train of hope rolling on the rather positive idea that what we saw was in fact the new and revamped turret system entirely, scraping off the cheese from engineers.

Pretty sure this thread is half-serious, not entirely serious, don’t worry.
Turham is a reality even before it’s out!
wrong thread…
I honestly think those flying bots will just function alot like arcane shield as in they eat attacks and blow up, simply because the specializations are ment to change the way you play your class and giving an engineer a hammer and sending him into a enemy team without any reliable stability or a way to deal damage and block attacks at the same time would just make the hammer useless in any team situations.
edit to add, probly not useless but you get my drift
My guess the flying turrets will have at least 1/2 the hp of ground turrets, and do about 2/3 of the damage and utility. The only thing they will really do is allow the Engineer to be more mobile, yet retain some of their class mechanic. Now if they were the same as their ground counterparts I would be terrified. But I highly doubt they will be anywhere near what the ground based ones can do.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
How are so many of you complaining about something that hasn’t even been implemented. For all we know hammer won’t be another control weapon, being as engi already has rifle for that and nobody knows exactly what these drones do.

I would actually hope for something more like this than more turrets to be honest, seems like a fun little mechanic. Turrets are something that plague PvP but are useless for almost everything else whereas something like this could see play in all game modes and not be over powered.
