A couple weeks ago the solo queue leader board rating was reset. At first I was under the impression that like before it would take 10 matches to even show up on the leaderboards.

Later that night I found out that this wasn’t the case any longer. There were plenty of people, including some friends of mine, who proceeded to get listed on the leaderboards after just a few matches.

A couple days later I started to play solo queue matches myself. While my time hasn’t allowed me to play a whole lot of them, every now and then I have been playing a match and I believe I am now just a little under the 10 matches you previously needed to be listed.

Now here is the thing: I have won every single match so far, I get matched with the top 100 players and yet I am still not showing on the leaderboards at all.

So what I am wondering is whether I am possibly only matched with top 100 players due to my odd hours and whether it is possible that you guys reset the rating, but did not reset the actual probability value for a lack of a better term.

Does the system after the reset possibly take into account what your rating should be based on the deviation from before the reset?

I just can’t seem to understand how friends of mine with 5 or 10 matches more than me and a win rate of about 60% are still among the first 500 when they haven’t been playing in over a week just as much as I can’t understand how they got on the leaderboards after only 2 matches, when apparently my 100% win rate still isn’t enough for me to even be on them at all.

I am in no way blaming somebody, nor am I concerned about my rating, but I have a fascination with numbers and systems and hate not understanding the principle.

A clarification and possible explanation would be much appreciated. This is for the european solo queue by the way.

This went to page two a little too quickly for my taste. I feel this could be happening to many others, which is why we see so many leader-board questions. It would be nice to know why this is happening.

Idk. I went to r11 after 2 games. Idk where I am now though

i got to rank 72… was between that and 500 up and down probably averaging about rank 250.. now in one day im at rank 69% … i have no kittening clue how this happened…. but now im getting matched with just bad bad players.. its so annoying

my hunch is they only reset your MMR which is a hidden value, but since games played stats wasn’t reset it will already register over 10games to start listing.

Unfortunately it’s not as easy as this and I forgot to mention that before the reset I had a ton of matches and was pretty high on the leaderboards before decay dropped me to the 500ish or something by the time of the patch which reset the rating.
