I play as mesmer in PvP and I can honestly say, bursting down a defense traited and toughness trinket player in about 4 seconds is ridiculous. With the new chronomancer stuff its even more overpowered because it needed a nerf even before HoT. The update that changed the traits and everything was the one that made mesmers wayyy to overpowered. I love playng a mesmer in pvp because nobody ever kills me and I can take down new players in litterally 2 seconds and veterans in 5 seconds. Im unkillable because the stealth is ridiculously long and has short cd on torch and utility plus the phantasms chase people untill they die and they can just be resummoned right away not to mention we can go in stealth and just summon more without having to come out of stealth. The staff makes it so hard to figure out where we are as well its not even possible to kill a good mesmer now unless your traited specifically for it and still they can run away in stealth most of the time.

But actually, half the complaints you’re making are the obvious complaints of a new or unskilled player. Staff making it hard to figure out where we are? Please, don’t make me laugh.

all since the big patch in september and i saw a massive drop in amount of mesmers in pvp. I played chrono in beta and havent tried much since but it was balanced in beta and i know it got some nerf to wells because you know

As a thief player, I dont think a mesmer would complain about being able to burst from stealth.

that used to be their one weakness.

If anything they probably mostly see it as long-overdue retribution.

I’ll see how chronos play out. If well, I’ll make one.

Have a look at the Go4 of sunday, and count the number of mesmers as well as the amount of time they spend at respawn.

Then reconsider who needs nerf.

Daredevil hardcounters Mesmer now. Besides, mesmers are not nearly as op as things like DH, Revenant, or scrapper. I would go as far to say that mesmer is fairly balanced because all the new stuff we have has decent counterplay to it unlike other specs (Stay out of wells, avoid mirror blade like before, and stall out continuum shift).

Mesmers don’t need a nerf, the only classes needing a nerf are Dragonhunters and Scrappers. Both of those classes have the survive of a tank and dps of a shatter mesmer. Although chronomancer has its use and it’s definitely a good class don’t nerf it, it doesnt need it at all.

Mesmer is fine. No need for a nerf lol.

Chrono is fine. It doesn’t need a nerf.

I am not a mesmer main. I have defeated lots of chronomancers. Lots of chronomancers have also defeated me. I have used the chronomancer a little bit. I will not use it again because I am a kitten poor mesmer. That should qualify my opinion as unbiased, I think.

I don’t really think any specs need to be nerfed. I’m going to take another few weeks to decide.

what revenant OP than mesmer your kidding me right? mesmer can go stealth and deal damage while revenant needs to be active and in plain sight. i’m not saying Mesmer is OP but your comparison with mesmer and rev is out of place.

Rev IS arguably stronger than mesmer. Their burst isn’t that threatening anymore now that people can tank/dodge most of their stuff. I’d even hazard a guess and say they’re back to their pre 6/23 state.

I main Thief and started playing around in PvP with Daredevil yesterday, I think with Chronomancer and all the new elites its just a matter of getting used to play against them, yesterday one stunned me and killed me in like 2s and I was like WTF,
next time I just broke stun and I was fine.
The fact that someone can kill you fast doesn’t mean (necessarily) that his class is overpowered, if someone can kill you fast AND without any counters, then its OP.

I’m not sure bro but i just fought a mesmer earlier and my rev is marauder trinket and my Armor is 2.4k and HP is 21k but the mesmer bursted my HP from 21k to 8k. If i’m not using Herald legend i’m probably dead and i was a bit in good rotation so i manage to stay alive but still mesmer manage to kill me.

I have 18k HP on my DH. I got into this sort of death struggle vs a chrono and we literally danced till each dude burned all his skills and we were reduced to autoing. He kept churning out clones and I kept manhandling him with CC. I managed to make it out thanks to a team mate coming to pull me out of that, or else we wouldve had a downstate fight that I wouldve won (guard downstate > mes downstate). It was probably the most entertaining fight I’ve ever had since HoT dropped.

FYI, I’m not even full trap :P.

I should be more than veteran, a super veteran saiyajin, because no mesmer can kill me in 5 sec, not in a 1vs1. But yes, mesmer burst is overpowered. By the way, I have years thinking mesmers shouldn’t have stealth, they already have clones, but it’s just my opinion, only thief should be able to stealth. Clones plus stealth is a complete mess.

Really? Can you produce 20k damage in 2s? And you are also unkillable too? Well, you obviously are trolling and/or you don’t represent 99% of Mesmers in game.
