Seriously how is this considered balance? We had a thief running around in ranked using only shortbow. At one point I was downed by next to him in mid and he didn’t even notice I was there, he just let an enemy thief cleave me while using his shortbow to attack a point in mid.

I hate ranting about players but this imbalance is just getting to me. This guy was either an incredibly bad pvper or new to the game. Honestly the whole fight was an uphill struggle. I just can’t understand how this level of mismatch occurs in ranked games.

I don’t get why having one troll/bad player on your team is a balance issue… Beside, yes it was a bad loss… but then again other side might have been more organized etc…
Full pug against premade, playing against top tier (helseth, Phantaram, etc), losing 500 – <100, five of the same class in a match, etc are balance issue
Having one thief trolling? Nah, man, that happens and it’s just bad luck

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Thieves are usually the worst players on a team in anything other than very high end play. Nothing to see here.

The higher you rating the worse games you’re going to get as a solo queuer, its just statistics.

To have a “balanced” match the system will use team averages, if your the highest in the game, it means you’ll have the lowest on your team as well. The better you are from average of your team, the worst they get.

Add this to the fact the player population is low so the chance your team average is close to the highest player (low variance of skill) is much lower than compiling teams of (high variance) with the same average. Because pre-mades usually have lower variance the higher rated players get snagged with the lower rated to play against them resulting in very frustrating games.

Then you have to consider one bad player makes a much bigger impact than one good player.

TL,DR form a pre-made or ride the rough waves.

Please skill/trait split and give control to the PvP team. Karl is fucking killing us
