Fear The Crazy [Huns]

Ah so the people who like rewards are 14 year old children.
Yes, if they only play for rewards. It’s okay to play “for fun” and be happy if there are additional rewards. But some people are really playing only if you give them some reward.
You haven’t explained why this is a bad thing. Sounds like merely a preference to me. Can you show that one way is better than the other?
You are under r10 i guess. And hotjoin kings are the worst ones who can’t be called PvP players.
Tournaments give better gear, gives rating and champion titles. You can be a hotjoin r30 and still play like an r5.

Its not road to some place, so you cant tell which is shorter or better. Its a way of life, girls love dresses/makeups, warriors love to fight.!
Simple as that.

lots of hilarity within.
Am I missing something here?
Yes. You’re missing the fact that no one gives a flying kitten about rewards in PvP.
Without rewards, why would anyone play? And how else would you determine what is the “end game”?
You may say that people play “just for fun”, but that’s not true. Take away any and all rewards including drops, armor etc from an MMO and see what happens.
I remember when people played Goldeneye. There were no rewards for beating your friend sitting next to you. Think about that for a second. Why should it be any different for an MMO? Dota 2 is doing fine as well. HoN.
I mean really what do people do after they get the reward they worked so hard for? Do they still play afterwards or do they quit and play another game?
because in the digital world there is no algorithm to compute sportsmanship or competitive spirit.
consoles are played in the real world.
here on the internet, like in grade school, “no one fails,” so instead of self improvement people want prizes and cookies and stars for a job well done.
funny story about goldeneye, after I was published in nintedo power for earning the invincibility cheat in 1min47, I had people showing up at my dorm from other cities, controller in hand, challenging me to matches.
they never asked for prizes. prestige is an award enough.
here, people don’t even seem to accept that dueling is important.
LOL indeed.

End game PvE is CoF P1, because that’s what people do after they did everything in the game and fastest way to get legendary through playing the game is CoF P1.
Endgame PvP is hotjoins because after you gotten everything you wanted from tournaments, the fastest way to get to titles like mist walker is through hotjoins because tournament rewards doesn’t count towards titles as well as zero wait for a quick game that you and your elite friends play and always join red team so you know you’ll be getting 400 points a game via kills and skirmisher mostly is through hotjoins.
You don’t even need friends you just need to see what team the people with most points are on, and you join that team and what they do is avoid fighting the zerg but fight the stragglers or people trying to win the hotjoin (because he cares greatly about hotjoin wins… lol) and basically 1 or 2 people is 15 or 30 points for however many people he’s rolling with (average of 5 or more) all those people get those points so its very beneficial for basically a guild or team to farm hotjoins rather than tournaments if your guild or team is trying to make themselves look good rank wise.
If you haven’t notice some of the top 100 people don’t tournament that much anymore, they are farming hotjoins for ranks because hotjoin heroes are out ranking them. Just look at there wins, some of them don’t play for days anymore (well they don’t play tpvp) just look at top 5 team sleepy, been top 5 for days and haven’t played a game, SAAtar he doesn’t play tpvp much anymore either, hence why he was at 1108 for a long time and barely moved.
Fact is hotjoins offer much better reward (which is glory) and that’s why the suppose best of the best rarely even do tournaments anymore because 1. you get titles like ravager, mist walker, etc. slower 2. pvp rank up slower 3. If your rank 1 and want to stay rank 1 YOU JUST DONT PLAY ANYMORE 4. OH YAH rewards are just terrible. I got 400 unopened chests, wanna know why?? The rewards sucks is why. I noticed that you get rewards your level and not just tournament stuff, so I’ll just wait until after I reach rank 80 through hotjoins to open them to maximize my deposit to salvage ratio.

I’m r40. And 7k xp away from Ransacker.

I’m r40 as well, 70k xp away from Ransacker….. I wonder why…
Say how many tPvP games you do…. oh yeah I did more than you no wonder why I’m 70k away from ransacker and your 7k away because I’m not doing the endgame PvP, I thought it was tPvP but I was wrong.. I guess I’ll just get in top 300 or so in leaderboards and not play anymore so I can make get ransacker because I don’t want to be r46 without ransacker you know.
And that’s why the best of the best don’t do tpvp all the time anymore. Click on that attachment, I need 70k more till ransacker and I do tpvp a lot, this is some of that bullkitten.

Endgame= more rewards? I don’t agree.
Am I the only person who does things for fun these days? That’s why we play games right? For fun? Cause if you’re not doing it for fun, you’ve made it work.
Endgame = the best thing to do after you have the rewards. After you have all you can/ want to get from tpvp, which is the gear (obviously leaderboard ranks don’t mean kitten right now) hotjoins is the best thing to do, a lot better to do over tpvp.
Well, technically speaking, end game is the part of the mmo you play after maxing out your character’s level.
it’s nothing more complex than that.
edit: in essence, the mists and the pve scaling system effectively negate any end game in GW2 save the 5 man dungeons.
unless you count wvw. which is where you will find the largest concatenation of max level, gear rewards, individual skill, and complex team and guild coordination.
but … according to these forums, none of that exists in GW2.

I’d have to agree with the OP… I’m not a SPvP or TPvP kind of guy… I’m a bit of a loner, so that translates to lots of Roaming in WPvP. but I did join hotjoin matches, and they remind me of WoW’s BG’s without the objective variety. people capturing nodes and killing enemies, but mostly being soloist and doing their own thing. but in the end whether you win or lose, you still get rewards for participating. The only thing this game is missing is the Elitist… oh wait…. but seriously, it an MMO, even one like GW2 people will find a way to get rewards the easier way. But why this is an issue, I’m not sure.
