Guild Wars 2

I was wondering how people would feel about a competitive tournament in a solo queue fashion. Here’s the basic idea:

- Have a set pool of players, lets say 80 for starters
- Everyone who’s made it on the leader board can apply on first come first serve basis.
- teams play best of 3, the winners advance to the next round.
- maps are random (excluding Skyhammer, Spirit Watch and Capricorn)
- every new round teams get mixed up into new teams based on the remaining player pool

I think it would make for a different game dynamic than team tournaments and there would be probably greater build diversity.

Not allowing VoP would make it more solo queue like, but that could be easily circumvented, so instead the organisers could provide a TS server or an equivalent with dedicated rooms for each team.

Opinions? Suggestions?

I think it would be fun. Obviously most of it would depend on who you got on your team, so it wouldn’t be “fair” per se. But it would be fun to see a lot of different mixes of players.
