Why is that not a thing? Is there a good reason for that I don’t get? Do you realize how miserable of an experience that is to fight even a 3-man premade plus two puggies with a full solo team?

My teams shouldn’t be punished for wanting to practice in unranked before going into ranked. It’s not our fault Anet has evidently sucked at making sure solos don’t go against premades. Instead of complaining about premades, we should be complaining that they got rid of solo q in the first place.

“hahahahahahahahaha”, is what anet thinks about that. Did you not see where they openly want this newbie, practice and nonpvp people encouraged to play????

And if we were to meet on a common ground why not a practice area for teams?

I don’t want to punish new people trying. I want Anet to put solo q back in the game. In the mean time, I’m not going to hinder myself competitively because Anet wants to be ridiculous. Before I got really busy with work (before this new season), I would always play several unranked before going into ranked. This was whether I was solo or not.

Simply put, there needs to be a separate q for those wanting to solo and those wanting to go in with teams of 2-5. It’s really that simple.

This is a fantastic idea. How about there be a solo queue and a team queue! Imagine if ANET had such a great idea and then didn’t change it for a poor idea.

Two points though:
1. Good teams don’t queue in unranked. It is typically new teams or those wanting to mess around with new specs.
2. The issue is the matchmaking. There should never be a PUG teams vs a 5 person premade. NEVER. I don’t care if the 5 person premade has been waiting 30 minutes. If they are not happy with the wait, then they can queue into ranked.

Unranked shouldn’t even exist. There should be solo ranked and 5-man premade ranked. Also, hotjoin should be removed.
Everyone else could practice in custom arenas.

That would improve the quality of matches a lot. Also, many new teams would be formed because LFG system would have to be used for those parties of 2 or 3, etc.

It worked perfectly in GW1 that didn’t have a real LFG system, so it should work even better here.

Right heres the thing i understand, make it so that rewards match the skill level. This will encourage the proper teams to que in there rank along with however anet chooses to decide fair teams(hopefully better).

On a random note my friend was telling me about counter strikes system for ranking…sounded good. I dont know much about it, changing would be involved and maybe its meant for a separate post but something designed for a mmo spvp design could work here….thoughts….

Pretty sure their reasoning for removing soloq and adding unranked was that majority of players wanted to have a place where they can play casualy with their friends and not being stressed about leaderboards. If it’s really true, that’s another thing.

this is so true….where oh no newbie will know this…nvm

because people would just sync drop anyway. Which is what ruined the gw1 playerbase when random arenas became unplayable, because either people would quit if there was no healer or they didn’t sync with certain players, and the game would be canceled.

So its understandable why in gw2, when someone quits, they try to fill the slot if possible rather then cancel the game, its great they designed classes so everyone heals themsevles, BUT they don’t disallow premades, because there is nothing to stop it from happening, so I guess the feeling is rather then make it only a cheat for a small few that undermine a solo qeue mode, its part of the game now. Nothing can be done about it.

I too find myself losing most of my games no matter how well I play or score. Its extremely frustrating and I regret my purchase. But its my own fault and I should of known better. Unsportlike and uncompetitive nerds have ruined online gaming 10 years ago. Even consoles are hurting now.
