How do I deal with cc?
CC has been a major issue but honestly not as much as the previous meta.
A lot of it comes with experience and knowing what to dodge, etc. With that being said, many things you just cannot expect, especially in team fights when you’re looking at five enemies.
Just try to hold your stunbreaks for times of need and don’t blow them just because you’re CC’d but you’re not being focused down. Keep the same in mind with dodges.
As for being chain CC’d, it happens. If you’re completely out of cooldowns it can happen to anyone if it’s just the worst timing to be focused. Again, just try to not use your stunbreaks unless you absolutely have to.. especially if you only have one of them.
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.
chained cc is one thing, but you should at least have 1 stun breaker, but i use and suggest two. I would definitely say you need at least 2 stun breakers in pvp and even wvw roaming.
It depends on your class what you can to against it and also if your team knows how to support you. For example mes and ele have invulnskills/teleports they can use while under chain cc and heavy pressure. As a drargonhunter and necromancer you usually just avoid to be on point until there is a reason to do so or your skills needed for survival are off-cd.
If your team reacts good they will try to heal/cleanse you and also try to interrupt the enemy with their cc to secure your escape. If you are downed and your team usually tries to revive you exspecially ranger are good in this but also other classes can revive good. Interrupt stomping enemies or heavy focus stomping enemies.
By no means am I saying I am a good ele player but you might learn something from this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LjzlhB8xu4k. Like the others have said its a lot of positioning, and timing skills.
A game based around CC is a kitten game.
You’d think the developers could come up with some more interesting mechanics.
How about some key press combinations—-pressing the buttons of skills on cooldowns in a certain sequence executes a stun break, or an animated block (like GS 4)?
With stability and stun break.
With Bunker Guardian, you had 2 AOE stability + a pulsing stability field (larger than a point) to spec for.
Since HoT (removal of attribute from trait line), Anet had broke ten’s of viable build (they promise they will not) and never came back with some solutions to put those viable build, viable again.
