I returned to sPVP with my warrior the other day after not playing it for a couple of months, played some 2-team tournament games and what really set me off was the amount of minion mancers running around. I had atleast 3-4 games where the team consisted of atleast 4 Necros with a similar build.

Their minions cluttering up my screen, messing with my targeting. Generally being in the way of everything. I just couldn’t kill them. I was running a Healing shouts GS/AxeShield Warrior to deal some damage, build adrenaline, swap over to the axe and execute them with sigil of intelligence (guaranteed crit on next blow) but they just wouldn’t die, or I would mess up and target their minion instead.

Fellow warriors and any and all classes. How the hell do you deal with these mobile minion factories?!

The same way I kill any other class with my thief.

If not dead after that, hit haste and spam #2, then spam f for the haste stomp.

you will literally never beat a minion necro as a warrior, especially any kind of shout build if the necro is using shamans. at best you might stalemate..

you’re better off switching to mace/shield – get the 50% crit talent on stun as a shout heal build btw. better burst than eviserate.. and more control

Tell ur team to play like a 1-4-0 setup.The big fight in the middle will get the minions killed from aoe, and if the necro just camps home point, u have a constant 4v5.

MM are tanky, u wont kill them / not worth time especialy with a healing shout build.
What hurts them( us ) the most are
-conditions (shaman,cleric have high toughness, but low hp +poisin for weaker heals)
-CC, necros have no stability, get an engie friend and play ping pong

First: Kill the blood fiend (if he’s using one), then drop the necro. The reason you couldn’t kill him is likely because his blood fiend (that floating tentacle monster) was healing him.

Second: Use mouse targeting. If you think targeting a necro with distinct-looking minions is hard, I’d be curious to know how you deal with clone spam mesmers.

Third: Most of the time minion AI is broken, if you don’t hit them, they won’t hit you, so you can ignore everything except the blood fiend. In sPVP they also tend to run after random players since they can’t be controlled like ranger pets.

Minionmancers are either very very tough, and their pets do all the damage, or very very strong and their minions are useless. Firstly, identify which this is.

If it is very tough but doing little damage, kill the Flesh Golem first, then the Shadow Fiend/Flesh Wurm, then the Blood Fiend, then finish off the Necromancer. Always go by target priority, the Flesh Golem does the most damage.

Minionmancers are only good in 1v1s, in group play, their Minions are dominated by powerful AoEs.

If it’s a very powerful Necromancer, but weak minions, kill the Flesh Golem first, and ignore all the other minions by going straight for the Necromancer. However, always kill the Flesh Golem.

This. Artificial intelligence has no place in pvp imo
