Guild Wars 2

I just had a game where the enemies levels were 39, 33, 31, 31 and 30. Our teams levels were 34, 34, 16, 15 and 11.

I don’t quite see how anyone would consider this a balanced game, and I’m kind of wondering if this happens a lot? If it is, will we ever see a fix? Sure, one could say that levels only say how much pvp you’ve played, but you get a lot better over time. I usually do fine whenever I play, but I had no idea what was going on in this game, they were so much better than me.

Also -> was queueing up with two friends, we were the low levels.

Anet have stated that they are working on the large swings in ratings. Sometimes people loose badly to a lower rated group and drop far down so they get matched up with really low rated people next match. It could have been the other way as well, you might have won and had your rating jump up. Third, if few people are queing in your bracket it will expand its search and match you against people outside of your bracket instead of wait 20 minutes for a match.

I have to question whether or not there is any balance at all, my partner and i recently picked up some cheap alt accounts so we could pvp on EU as well as US, both rank 1 and entering our very first tourney on these accounts and to our surprise the enemy team is entirely comprised of rank 40-50’s. This is fine for us but i can only imagine what kind of first impression this might leave on rookies.

I think it goes by rating so If a new player comes into tpvp and with 2 matches at the lower end they have like a 100% win ratio and jump op the latter and end up in matches they should not be in. If you look at the leader boards there are guys with like 12wins and 1loss at the top. Anet said they are going to make the jumps lower soon so you will see this less often.
