Q:

To clarify:
I understand traits/sigils give you a chance to proc which then automatically casts whatever ability is tied to said trait/sigil. My question refers to the fact that I noticed that two things can not or will not proc at the same time. Is my testing of the abilities flawed?

Example:
Engineer’s Explosive V trait is 33% chance to burn on crits
Engineer’s Firearm Sharpshooter trait is 30% chance to bleed on crits
+
Sigil of Superior Air is 30% chance to cause Lightning Strike on crits

I have never seen them all go off at the same time. Only 1. Can someone confirm or deny this?

Sigils (AFAIK) have absolutely no ICD sharing or interaction with any traits. It’s possible procs may be limited to 1 proc per hit, but I’ve never noticed that.

I have seen them go off at once. Ive seen mixes of multiple bleeds proc (from sigil+trait), combinations of burning and bleed.

I cannot recall ever noticing all at the same time (2 bleeds + 1 burning) but honestly, i dont pay attention and the chance is relatively low.
But it works.

I’ve seen trait and sigil bleeds proc together. I’m still not sure exactly how sigil procs work, all I know is you can’t get two procs from two sigils of the same kind from the same attack. I’d like to know if you could get earth and water to proc off one attack or something like that though.

If you’re not playing to win, don’t complain when you lose.

So sigil+trait does work. What about two different sigils?

If you have 2 sigils of the same type (effect on swap) (effect on crit) only 1 will proc and then both share cd. So if you have Fire Blast on Crit and Bleed on Crit, the first one to proc will set the cooldown for both, so it’s pointless to use 2.

Also from my testings, it’d be good to note that Sigils only proc off their corresponding weapon slot/skills. So if you’re DW’ing pistols, your main hand sigil proc will only proc from skills #1-3, and your off hand sigil skills #4-5. Also, crits from slot skills won’t proc weapon sigils.
This is just from what I’ve tested personally.

The easiest example imo would be to do a 50% example.

This will not be 1 out of every two swings.

RATHER what it will be is a 50/50 chance each swing. So it would be like each time you crit you’d flip a coin (if it were 50%). Heads or tails, this means you can land it many times in a row, or fail miserably with it.

I’m nearly 100% sure this is how this works.

Oh I thought that’s what you were asking about and I reread, as far as that goes I dunno, I tried using sigils that on death would give me both precision and bloodlust, but only one procced.

I must’ve missed the sign that said it was a fire sale.
